Has anyone ever gone to Atlantis or to Paradise Island when in Nassau?
If so, what transportation did you use and what other hints can you suggest? We will be there in April.

I was just in Nassau in April of 04. There are a lot of tours to take you there. You can also walk but it is a long was from the ship. I would be tempted to take a cab. It is probably the fastest and most convenient.

Have a wonderful time. We are scheduled to go on the Wonder on March 20.

We were in Nassau in May....get right in a taxi....lots of them there when you get off the ship....we went and it costed us 25 us dollars for a mini tour of the island and a stop at the atlantis....our driver took us around inside the atlantis and it was a great place to see! Good luck and have fun!!

I would find out from the ship's staff what the current standard fare is to the Atlantis, then get a taxi at the designated stand just off the ship, and confirm the fare beforehand. When we last took a taxi in PI about three years ago, the standard fare was $10 one way, although I would be surprised if it wasn't higher now.

Just got back from the Feb 13 -4 day Wonder cruise and the taxi fare to PI for both of us was $9.00 which included the $1.00 bridge toll.

I have stayed at Atlantis and it is amazing. I would definatly recomend going there for the day. If my memory serves me right, you can buy a day pass for the pools/slides/beach. The slides are fun for the kids, and the pools and beaches are very very nice. Best bet(like everyone is saying) is to take a cab. On all the islands cab are a good idea to get places, sometimes you can haggle on the price. There should be tons of cabs at the port right when you get off.

Good luck!

Would you recommend doing Atlantis first, then taking a cab back and walking around the city and straw market? or vice versa?
