Couple of questions for you veteran cruisers. Do you use credit cards or ? At Nassau?

How much does it usually cost to mail a post card st Castaway Cay and do you pay with credit card ??

For CC, I think it's cash only, 65 cents. I wish I could be more specific, but when we docked, the post office was closed. Before I got back on the ship at the end of the day, I taped two US dollars to three postcards and sent it through the mail slot. Imagine my surprise when everyone got my postcards a few weeks later!

The PP is correct. The stamps are 65 cents and you have to pay cash only. I had to go back onto the ship to get cash. BTW I bought a pack of postcards at one of the shops on board, but the post office sells those also. I think they were about $2 apiece.

We take cash as well as a credit card to any port we go to. :)
The postage at CC is cash only, I believe you can also buy the postage onboard at GS, but it has been a long time since I have done that.
In the drawer of your desk in your cabin are several very cute postcards that you could send in lieu of buying them onboard. As well as stationery and a pen.

I took cash to every port except CC. I did not take any because everything there gets charged to the KTTW card.

What about Nassau?

US dollars have been accepted everywhere I have tried in Nassau. Some credit cards charge a foreign transaction fee so you may want to check with your bank. I've stayed at Atlantis many times and have never been charged one, but it is possible. Also you will find in Nassau and anywhere else in the Caribbean that credit cards are not accepted everywhere like they are in the US. I don't believe that a lot of the taxis take them and I'm assuming the straw market doesn't either (it's been years since I've been to the market though).
