Nashville Traffic Warning

For those of you who might be driving to WDW thru Nashville next weekend, June 11 (or coming home for that matter!). I would try to find another way!

Bunaroo is going on in Manchester, TN. Manchester is South of Nashville on i-24 and is NOT equipped to handle a large music festival. Backups of up to 5 hours on I-24 have occured due to this festival!

All man tell me might through Nashville TN heading to Memphis TN all that traffic June 11 and June 12. Please say not true.

I have travel to a wedding that in Memphis Tn from Chattanooga TN on June 11 and coming back to Chattanooga June 12 to Riverbend Festival to see LL Cool JJ.

Darn it Darn It darn it Ain't fair.

Do have suggest routes to Memphis TN from Chattanooga to avoid going through all that traffic.

I not a happy camper at the moment. I don't really won't go to this wedding. Thank God have hotel already book at the Peabody Hotel for that night.

Any advice on routes that I should avoid or take avoid all this traffic.

The worst part is there really are no good routes. The newspaper suggested going thru Knoxville on I-75 and taking I-40 W or coming up I-65 from Birmingham.

I think there is a back route from Chattanooga, but... I don't have a clue what it might be.

I think Saturday night should be OK. Everyone pretty much camps there for the weekend. So once they get in on Friday I would expect they would stay until Sunday (No gurantees!)

The state is apparently setting up a website with traffic updates:

How that will help people who are already out in traffic isn't too clear, but at least they are giving alternate route info.
