NASCAR FANS - Pick Your Top 5 for Richmond

:teeth:
LOL, thanks Tori, I'm glad it won't cause any confusion. I doubt if "Gette88" is doing very good in the points anyway. ;)

NO NO NO>>>> This JET88 is an imposter!!! If she finishes ahead of me I will protest to the SUPREME court!!!!

Just kidding!!!! I hope she wins this week as long as Junior wins the race!!!

On a sad note, a 10 year old lost his life on Monday to Leukemia (PS I hate Cancer with a passion). He lived across the street from me. I coached him in tee-ball. Cancer SUCKS!!!! Please keep his family in your thoughts or prayers!!!!

Adam aka Big Dude

Oh Adam, I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor. His family will be in my prayers.

On a lighter note atleast everyone knows how to pronounce Jet. Gette is pronounced the same but most people thought it was Getty.:D

Adam,
I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor. My prayers are with you and his family.

Ginny

Hard to say, Kasey doesn't like short tracks and after qualifying yesterday and hitting the wall, Kasey may hate short tracks even more than he did before ;) Then again, a lot of drivers come back from that kind of problem and do win the race. I'm still holding out for Gordon to get his 3rd in a row though :)

How about Kyle and his first Busch win last night? He lead 236 laps of 250 - wow. Biffle said during his interview (he came in 2nd) that he could have put a bumper to him but didn't want to win that way. Said Harvick told him that he's getting soft in his old age. Too funny.

And speaking of Harvick - how many of you watched NASCAR Drivers 360 last night? It was actually better than I thought it was going to be. The Kenny Wallace parts were great, funny, sweet and even sad but it really showed how much racing means to Kenny. Sometimes because he is such a clown you don't get that impression. I loved the scenes with his daughter, especially when she was being lectured about driving to the Rock - don't stop -pee in cup....are some parents really that paranoid? And I'll bet Kevin is really happy with the 2005 schedule - no more Rockingham. He really gave the impression last night that he hates that track. The Rusty parts were pretty cool too, I didn't know he flew his own plane. I hope the series follows him through his win, it would be nice to see that.

Don't forget race starts tonight at 7:30PM Eastern and it's on FX this week. If you don't get FX join me in the NASCAR chat room where we'll keep you updated on how the race is going.

What the heck is up with Tony Stewart?? Did everyone hear his pre-race interview and what he said about Darrel Waltrip?? I could not believe my ears. So disrespectful. I am not a fan of Jaws, but that was just not right.

Looks like Tony is going back down that road again.....

Congrats to Jr!

Stewart was pretty obnoxious on both the pre race and post race interviews. No offense to any Stewart fans. Normally I like him but not tonight

I think he's a total moron who needs to learn to shut his mouth and I don't even like Darryl Waltrip either!

My 7 year old use to love Tony Stewart, for the past 3 years but he lost her this season. She actually turned to me and said why is Tony Stewart being so rude? Nice way to be behave Tony when even a 7 year old questions your manners.

Congrats to our newbie - Cinderellafifi - nice job! Her first time picking and she had 5 drivers in the top 6.

Congrats to Jr and his fans!

Not sure what Stewart was thinking - his comments both before and after the race were kind of embarassing.

Congrats to Jr. and to Cinderellafifi.

Tony needs an attitude adjustment big time!

:cheer2: CONGRATULATIONS CINDERELLAFIFI!!! And WELCOME! :cheer2:

We didn't watch the race.... forgot!!!

Congrats Cinderellafifi!!!

I didn't see Tony's post-race interview, but I did see the pre-race one and please don't flame me...but am I the only one thinks that if I were Tony and folks continued to use their position on TV to single me out and talk about how I was doing my job...well, I think I might like to get a swipe or two back. Professional? Hmm, well, probably not. But most of lose our temper (even at work) and say something we regret....it's just our snipes aren't usually captured on TV. I am a DW fan, but seeing him continue to pick on Tony (with Mike Joy and Larry Mac adding fuel to the fire) for the last month does get old. It was kinda nice to see DW speechless for once. Maybe he realized that enough is enough. It seemed like his half-hearted attempt to retort ("I'll just be like Tony and say you guys are picking on me") didn't have the same bite as some of the earlier stuff. Folks just need to remember that Dale, the Alabama Gang, and plenty of other great racers used to "race rough". That said, I'm probably gonna be dodging the flying veggies and fruit. :duck: Tons of love for DW, Tony, Rusty, etc.... hope next week is bit more calm.
