Tuesday and it's that time of week again.
Last Year's winner was Kurt Busch. Some interesting tidbits - since 2000 Rusty Wallace has an average finish of 5th at this track. Jeff Gordon has an overall average of 6.57 in the 7 years they have been racing here
Both Gordon and Dale JR have odds of 8-1 this weekend and both are probably very determined to "prove" something after the Talladega race. (Jimmie Johnson is the only other driver with 8-1 odds by the way.)
Since the race is on the west coast this week Qualifying will be later than normal (yea more time). Qualifying is scheduled to start at 6:10PM Eastern time. Of course this also means that the race will start later on Sunday (3PM ET versus the normal 1PM) what am I going to do for those extra two hours I'm waiting for the race to start?????
Okay, my picks:
1. 24 - Jeff Gordon (Good for a lot of back-to-back wins)
2. 29 - K. Harvick (Home town boy)
3. 48 - J. Johnson (tied with the 24 and 8 for best odds)
4. 9 - K. Kahne (likes this kind of track - a LOT)
5. 97 - K. Busch (last year's winner)
Spare - 2 - R. Wallace
Good luck everyone!
