My wife and I are taking our son to WDW for his 5th birthday in June. We have reservations at CBR, but are seriously think we will be better off at WL. We plan to spend two days at MK and one day at AK. I know we will be happy at the CBR, but will it be worth the extra money to stay at the WL to be closer to MK since we will be spending most of our time there?

Yes, I think it will definitely be worth the extra $ to go to WL. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and the transportation is much more convenient than at CBR to MK. Just hop on a boat and you're right there. WL is also a great place for families, and I'm sure your son would love to stay there.

Welcome Joebud. I say if you can afford the WL then stay there. A 5 year old boy will love the theming. It is so convenient to the MK plus Fort Wilderness which offers many things for you to do. I've stayed at both and I would choose WL if money wasn't a concern. :D

WL. I have stayed at both. You are going at a slightly higher activity time and you are going to want the ease of the WL. CBR is nice but you must take a bus everywhere. Being close to MK will aid in going back and resting too.

That's pretty much what I figured. Thanks for the replies. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at WDW and a friend on the inside pretty much planned everything for us. Now that I'm doing it myself I didn't realize just what all he did. Thanks again.
