2 adults 2 kids 13 and 14 we love fast food pools and arcades what deluxe to choose its so hard staying at pop first few days in 2 rooms also does the cr have a daybed in the tower rooms?
I would vote for the Contemporary. Those rooms have a nice big daybed in them, so that one kid could use that and the other get a bed, and the room is larger too, especially for bigger kids like that. If you hate the Contemporary theming, then that's another story, but I think the Contemporary rooms, just comparing room to room, would better suit a family with two large kids.
I've never stayed at the Contemporary, so I can't comment there. Have stayed at AKL and Poly and think kids 13 and 14 would love it there. Both are very magical, but the theming is way different. If they love animals go with AKL. The Poly is very tropical. Both have great fast food and wonderful pools. We are staying at Beahc CLub next, becasue of Storm Along Bay. Maybe that would be good for you, your kids could go to the Boardwalk and might like that. Mine ar too young to go anywhere alone, but I bet older kids would love that.
Hey there! I voted for the contemporary because its my home away from home! I have stayed there several times (upwards of 10 i believe) and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
The rooms are nice and big with GREAT views and a fun atmosphere. The daybeds make it great for families...and are available on all the rooms in the tower (except the 14th floor full concierge).
Some of my family stayed at the WL last year after years of staying at the Contemporary...and while they enjoyed the resort and its rustic laid back atmosphere...the kids all enjoyed the fast paced atmosphere of the contemporary better....not to mention such easy monorail acccess!
If you have a specific questions on the contemporary, fire away...I'd love to help!
jungle skipper i just noticed you said if i had a question ask in my planning dvd the rooms at the contemporary are a beige cream color and other sites show them as very bright mixed colors what rooms are beige i love those color rooms so far nobody has been able to help me with this .
disneygirl: I have the same question! I have always said I would never stay at the Contemporary because of those hideous colorful rooms--ick! But the beige ones would be a different story. . . .
Your crew sounds like a CR bunch as opposed to WL based on the fast food, arcades and pools - looks like you want to be in the action and the CR is a busy place
edited to add that we have stayed at both - CR Garden View North Wing and WL Woods View North East corner near Boat Launch

well for the past several years it has been the same in the rooms at the Contemporary...and its the same as of last year, they rooms are colorful and fun! Exciting patterns and colors from black to purple to red and yellow, even a pattern on the carpet that i always seem to think is an orange extension cord on the ground...lol..we always laugh about that for a day or so.
Visit allearsnet.com and go to the accomodations section, contemporary and look for photos.
The rooms at AKL and WL are smaller than CR. The CR rooms also have a daybed , the others do not. Though WL does have rooms with bunks. CR also has the best arcade on the property, so it sounds like it might be better for you. We are staying there in May because my DW is eligible for a discount that was not available for WL. I think our all time favorite though is Poly. We will see. Good luck. Jay
The CR has the best arcade IMHO. Plus they are open 24 hours. The food court is also open 24 hours! Not the grill, but premade sandwiches, salads, fruit, beverages and deserts are available.
I also agree the rooms are much bigger than WL. Also you can walk to the MK in about 10 minutes.
I voted CR as with 2 teenages the arcade is fantastic and the rooms a little bigger than at WL. Butttt if it was me with my 7 and 2 year old it would be WL as I wouldn't trust DS in a tower room (that's another story!)
