Narrowed down choice-mid or late September

specifically either 15th or 29th September (flights considerably cheaper those dates)

I need a push making the final decision-

For how long? The 21 and 22 is Rosh Hashanah - I know the NYC public schools are out for that. Not sure how that would affect the crowds, but it's a big population of families...

I think there are a few other weeks in September 2017 that make for good vacation weeks, too, due to multiple holidays, so a lot of the month is tempting for a trip. We picked rosh Hashana week because it was two days in a row, but I think the week before is a short week too.

The trip will be 7 nights for our silver wedding anniversary.

Normally I'd say later you'd also get in on Food and Wine, but looks like they are starting early this year, so that doesn't matter.

We are doing September for the first time and are looking at the 9 to 17th. we have done the first week of may so we hope it's not much hotter
