We just got back from Disney today so I thought I would report on our big dinner out. We were on the dining plan and only there for 2 days this trip so thought we would splurge. So we used 2 TS and went to Narcossee's at the Grand Floridian.
The food was wonderful, all that you would expect from such a nice restaurant. I had the surf and turf/crabcakes/and cheesecakes. DH had the mahi I believe along with the Artisan cheeses and the chocolate cake (the cake was not that great). Kids both had filet with french fries (yes french fries in a nice restaurant). Overall the food was excellent.
We had an ADR for 8:50PM with the kids so we had them nap during the day so their sanity would hold up that late. We had a table along the window where we could see the seven seas lagoon. That night about 9:20 they had the electric water parade on the lagoon so we were able to step outside over the water with the kids and watch it between courses. Then at 10PM the fireworks at Magic Kingdom started. They dimmed the lights in the restaurant and turned on the MK music that goes along with the fireworks. It was great to be able to sit at the table and watch. The kids really enjoyed it!
It was really great! As far as the dining plan goes it was well worth it. The total cost of the dining plan for the 4 of us was about $198 for the 2 two. Dinner at Narcossee's was about $225 so everything else that we ate those 2 days was "free" so to speak.
