Looking for a nice place to have dinner while our kids are with the grandparents babysitting. We were thinking about Narcoossees however we will be there in Feb 16-23 2012. Does anyone know if the construction is in the way of views ect? There are plenty of other places to go we know so we can . We go once a year, so if this is not the year we can wait until next time. Anyone's thoughts.

To be honest, with your construction and view question aside, Narcoossee's is one of the last Signatures for you to go to on a night sans kids. It has fallen pretty far from romantic or anything resembling a date night (especially when you compare it to other Signatures). If you are tied to using TS credits, I would highly suggest Citricos (GF), Artist Point (WL) and Jiko (AKL) if you are looking for a nice, QUIET meal without too many kids, add Flying Fish (BW) to that because the food has always been fantastic IMO (but it can get loud). V&A's is a no-brainer if you can budget the splurge. I would also consider either Shula's or bluezoo at the Dolphin if you are not tied to using credits. All of these have much superior food, great service and more adult oriented atmospheres than Narcoossee's.

There shouldn't be any construction near Narcoossee's. All the construction for the VC building is on the opposite side of the resort. If you are looking for something a little more on the quite side, you might want to try Citricos which is in the main building.

Narcoossee's is a great restaurant with a GREAT view. It does seem to get a little loud inside when it is at full capacity, due to the hard wood floors and the high ceilings. Its STILL one of my all time favorites :goodvibes

I can't answer your questions at all, but if you aren't planning on getting the Whole Maine Lobster on the Narcoossee's menu, you may at least want to consider eating elsewhere based on what other folks say about how it is the least signature dining experience.

I booked it for my Feb trip because my husband wanted lobster -- otherwise, we would definitely try one of the other restaurants mentioned. But, I think it's the only place on the dining plan to get a whole Maine lobster.

Been there many times and always had a great meal. The views are great especially if you time it during Wishes.

As with any restaurant there are fans and others. We always eat at the signature restaurants and find that Narcoossee's is comparable. Other than V&A I'm not sure where you can go in WDW where there isn't any kids.

Narcoosssee's is right on the water's edge so you won't see any of the construction. If you're there during Wishes, they dim the lights and pipe in the music. You can also go outside and view Wishes from the deck. You will also get a good view of the Electric Water Pageant.

All of our meals have been excellent. We've had the Maine lobster, surf and turf, surf and turf with scallops in place of the lobster tail, filet mignon and the crab crusted flounder. The Almond Crusted Cheesecake is one of the best desserts I've ever had - I order it everytime.

All of our meals have been great as well. It's all personal preference. Whereas most people here may love Citricos, it's always one to miss for us.

We just ate at Nacoossee's weeks ago and the construction is in no way an obstacle.

We were also ther for dinner two weeks ago. There is no problem with the construction. Like many of the previous posters we feel that Narcoosee's is our least favorite of the signatures. OhThePain has some good suggestions.

THANK YOU EVERYONE:worship: But we will not be going for the Maine Lobster. We live in Maine and that is the last thing we want when we are not home. :rotfl2::dance3: Oh the what to do THANKS AGAIN!
