Ok so being from NH and about 20 minutes from the Maine border I'm used to eating (as far as I'm concerned) the best seafood on the planet. A few years ago while visiting our DSIL and his DW, she took us to a restaurant claiming to serve Maine Lobster :confused3.... She spent lots of time telling us how wonderful it was!!!! I don't know what it was but Maine Lobster it was not!!!!:scared1: Does anyone know if that will be the case with Narcosee's??? Being a New Englander will I be disappointed ordering seafood at this restaurant?

I dont know if iv ever had true maine lobster but their lobster is pretty good,
I get the crab cakes and there the best. Everywhere uses already steamed crab and then cooks it again in a cake form, not here they use raw crab and cook it once,...what a difference!!!

The whole boiled lobster, which I've had :goodvibes. is from Maine... I believe the tails that are part of the surf 'n turf are not. :thumbsup2

Besides, nobody know how to cook the darn things unless they're from Maine!!! They're often overcooked, and rubbery. But at Narcoosee's, I was pleasantly surprised. bythe way, that place on Rte 192, the all you can eat Lobster place? Horrible, just simply horrible.

Does anyone know if you can still get the lobster on the 2010 dining plan? thanks

as far as I know you can still get it on the DP but its 2 TS credits to dine there.
this is our favorite spot on property!

all the food (including the tails) was great as was the service:thumbsup2

I can't comment on their lobster but their mussel app was one of the best I've ever had & I order a lot of mussels at lots of restaurants. If you are worried about not liking the lobster, just get something else. I know what you mean though, because I can't usually get italian food as good as home (nyc/northern nj area), its just not the same.

We were very disappointed in the lobster. Some of the fish entrees are good.

hey now, being from Cape Cod (originally), I take offense to that ! (only teasing) ;) We cook them pretty darn good on the Cape !! You're just going to have to make a trip to Cape Cod and have a lobster.... we can do as well as anyone from Maine, I promise! :)

You will not be disappointed with the lobster or anything else from Norcoossee's. That is our favorite restaurant now.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

well i had to be the one. We had such a horrible meal there about 4yrs ago we havent even considered it again. Maybe they were having a bad night but for the money I expect it to be correct every night.

Narcoossee's is my favorite restaurant in all of WDW. Even though it is a 2TS, it is a must do for our family. I usually get the surf & turf, but my last visit I had the grilled swordfish and loved it. :thumbsup2

Yes yes we went to some horrible buffet with a sign out front that said they had MAINE LOBSTER????? Yuck... His DIL was so excited to take us though, how could we refuse, from the beginning I was worried cause well to tell you the truth, it was pretty cheap....As far as location I couldn't really tell you anything except it was about 10-15 minutes from the mall. I was so dissapointed, and when I started planning this trip I decided that I must know if it was real Maine lobster or not at Narcosee's. I'm glad to hear it is

We eaten at Narcoossee's many times and it has always been excellent. I've never had the lobster so I can't comment on that. It's quite common to compare food to what we're used to (I do it, too). Narcoossee's, like many other WDW restaurants, changes the menu with each new executive chef so what was last year may not apply to this year. Likewise, the menus posted on sites such as this can be a few months out of date. I'm pretty sure you can call the restaurant for details on the current menu.

To the OP-another from NH here!! Also not far from Maine (actually 5 min away) into Lebanon ME.

My DH & I are going to Disney for our 25th anniv. & trying Narcoosees for the 1st time for our anniversary dinner. I sure hope it is Maine lobster as that is what I plan on having.

Yay another from Cow Hampshire :O)!!! I hope your anniversary dinner is wonderful, and everything you expected it to be.

We were there in November and did not have lobster. I had some kind of fish which was delicious and would definitely go there again - being a New Englander myself. The service was phenomenal and everyone was happy with their meals.

I've enjoyed a few lobsters at Narcoossee's. They have measured up with the real deal, but not quite as good as a lobster you've just pulled out of the pot (not the pot in the kitchen, the one in the ocean). An experience like that is only possible at the source.

The only thing that will disappoint you about the lobster is that you are going to pay more for it than you do in Maine. The plane ride for the crustaceans is costly.

Shula's at The Dolphin also puts a lobster out that you would be pleased to eat. Particularly if you want to buy a really big lobster to share at the table.
