Narcoossee's with a picky 13 yr old

I am planning our dining for an upcoming December trip and would like to have dinner at Narcoossee's. We haven't dined there since our children were very young and they stayed at the Poly child care facilities( and didn't want to leave they had so much fun while we had dinner. One of my children is 13 and a very picky eater. Do you know if there is away for him to order off the childs menu? I don't care if they double the price or we have to pay an adult price but he would like either a burger or chicken fingers. I'm sure he could eat two children menu items if they would let us order this. We went to Artist Point two years ago and there were four adults, 2 preteens and 3 teens. They let them all order off the childrens menu ( didn't like the adult selection there ....kids!) Any recent experiences? Thanks

Disney is fairly accomodating, don't forget that ALL restaurants have at least '1 of every animal' so to speak as an option on the menu.

Many times at some WDW restaurants my wife would order from the chldren's menu. We never had any problem. As long as it is not an all you can eat there should not be a problem.

I have only once on these boards ever heard of aome being charged double, and probably if they had talked to the manager they would have been able to have it corrected.

They'll let him order off the kid's menu. As for what they will charge - that's questionable right now. I've read at least 3 recent posts both here and on 3 seperate restaurants who have charged double for a teen or adult ordering kid's meals. Then there is varying opinions on the age increases that will take affect July 1st. A CM posted that it was for buffets AND table service but some don't think that is meant fot t.s. I guess we'll know after July 1st. And I suppose it could depend on the CM you get. We went to Crystal Palace for breakfast once and I had an upset stomach and couldn't eat. I tried about 2 bites of a roll and had about 1/2 of a glass of iced tea. I would have never said anything but the CM saw that I didn't eat anything, our 3 kids were excited about the characters so they barely ate, only person who did was dh, so when we got our bill she explained she didn't charge me. I felt kind of weird about it and told her I'd pay or at least something and she refused. Then again you have CM's who charge a 15 year old double for a kid's hamburger. Sorry if this is a little off topic but don't you just hate it when a server bypasses you and starts to talk up ordering virgin tropical drinks, smoothies, and other specialty drinks to the kids for $6 and up knowing they are going to say yes and then if mom and dad say no the server and all the kids look at you like you are Satan. Love it when they do it when you are in a group because then they KNOW if one child is allowed to get one they all will or there will be a mutiny. (had to vent , sorry to highjack the thread).

I had to laugh at your comments about the drinks only because that has happen to us several times. It isn't funny when it happens but you are right on point. Well I will watch the board in July and see what may happen about the kids meals and pricing. DS has a great appetite so I wouldn't mind ordering two childs meals for him but I would want to pay for it four times LOL

Keep in mind that most entrees can be served without the accompanying sauces and such, so your picky eater might be easily accomodated off the adult menu.
