Planning an early August 2016 at 10 am wedding for my daughter. We have tried to think of ways to move guests from the WP to Narcoossee's without having to walk (ex. renting a couple of big golf carts to ferry guests) but everything we can think of is a no go. It's apparently about a half mile trek from the WP to Narcoossee's. Not a big deal in nikes and shorts but heels and wedding gown, tuxes and guests' wedding finery probably not a great idea especially in early August. We've been told that's why Narcoossee's isn't used as a reception site as often as other sites.

So what do you think about the walk in early August?

It isn't far from the WP to the GF now that the beach there is all DVC buildings. It is too far for probably the wedding party or anyone in all the clothes to sheep in August. It isn't a far walk from the lobby of the GF to the restaurant unless you have mobility issues. People walk to Narcoossee's to reach the restaurant. Assuming you offer transport (limo or their own cars?) to the GF from the WP, I don't see that people need to be transported to the door of Narcoossee's even in wedding clothes. That said, elderly or special needs or the severely mobility impaired could avail themselves of bell services and their golf carts? If it is a huge deal, and you keep asking, I'm sure you can do something but I would offer transport to the GF then people walk to Narcoossee's.

ETA: our wedding was at the same time of day. We used the minimum limo time and the limo made short trips to take guests to the GF and just went back and forth a few times for those who wanted it while we took pictures. Last trip they picked us up and we met everyone at the Whitehall Room.

1) Have the guests drive or carpool to the ceremony.
2) Return to the cars afterward, and drive to GF.
3) Valet-park at the hotel entrance.
4) You could arrange to pay for the valet parking at the parking attendant desk. (Valet is NOT a Disney enterprise nor Disney employees.)
5) Saves a lot of walking.
