We have 6:05 reservations for Narcoossee's and Wishes begins at 8pm that evening...

Should I get later dinner reservations or should we be okay? I don't want to have to get up during our meal to see the fireworks, but I also don't want to have my parents waiting around afterwards to see the fireworks for too long.

Is there a place they have designated to see the fireworks after dinner? And how is the view?

Thanks in advance!

We had a 7:50 ressie for a 9pm showing of Wishes....we finished our meal and had not yet ordered dessert, so it was a good time for a "break" for us. It does get crowded on the balcony...we actually went out of the restaurant and over to the marina area on the left before the entrance to Narcosse's....it was too crowded on the balcony...and we could hear the audio by the marina. I imagine you'd be done with dinner and then some for an 8pm showing of Wishes...but you could always wander around the GF and walk off your dinner. Its so beautiful there!

Just don't make the mistake that you think you are going to see Wishes from a window seat at Narcoossee's because that normally will not work.

The patio area goes all around the outside of the restaurant on the water/MK side. People go out there and stand or sit in one of a few benches and watch the show. When they do this they completely block the view from the windows.

Our main meal had just arrived when the show began and we decided our meal was more important than the show. The meal was beyond delicious. So we stayed inside at our window front table. Near the end of the show one woman did move and it cleared our view for the finale, but it was sheer perchance that she moved.

The servers did warn us before hand that a window front table would not assure us a view of the fireworks.

We did enjoy the water view and the full moon rising to the right of the Contemporary. it was beautiful!

When I ate there last month, my meal (appetizer, main meal and dessert) was an hour and a half. Maybe a 6:30 ressie and, depending upon the time, you may be able to hold dessert until after Wishes if you haven't finished it by 9:00. With a 6:05 ressie, you may be waiting around a little.

Do a lot of people go outside from Narcoose's to watch "Wishes" during their meal? I'm just so afraid that if I do that, I might come back to find my food all cleared. Is this a common practice? And what about the Electric Water Pagent? Do many people go outside to see that? Or can that be seen from inside the resturant?

I'd say "most" folks wander outside to see Wishes, and as has been noted, you are unlikely to see anything from a table inside the restaurant. The servers are well used to having folks go out to watch the fireworks, and they won't just assume you're done eating and wisk the food away.
I don't think the water parade has quite the draw of the fireworks with folks going out just to see that.

:thumbsup2 Thanks for all the input!

I think we will keep the 6:05 ressie and walk around the hotel until the fireworks start.

Is there a perfect place to watch them from or should we stay around the restaurant? I think it'll be nice to walk around after dinner so my parents can check out the rest of the hotel. I know my mom will love it there and my dad will get some great pictures. He loves photography. :)

Thanks again!
