We love Narcoossee's. We have never been to Shula's, but we want to do it on our next trip.

Anybody been to both, preferably in the same trip, or even within the same year, that can provide some feedback?

Which did you like better? Which had better steaks? (we like Filet Mignon and Lobster tail)

I have read on Trip Advisor that Shula's is very very loud and it makes it not worth the high price.

We've been to both and I thought Shula's was much quieter. There were mostly adults there when we went. I had seafood at both and loved it. DH thought the steak was better at Shula's.

Shula's has the best steaks on property, no question about it. Our meals here have been mostly very quiet and enjoyable. That tends to vary depending on if there is a convention at the hotel and the guests who attend. We have had one experience where there was a couple of rowdy tables, but that can happen anywhere. Generally it is much quieter there than Narcooossee's. Narcoossee's is fine. There is nothing really special about it. The service is fine, the food is fine, the atmosphere is fine, the view of HEA is fine. Nothing really great or that stands out. Nothing overly impressive. It's a good meal, don't get me wrong, but we found it to be nothing special. We ate at both last month.

OK - DW and I go to BOTH... every trip, 2 trips per year, 12 years.

BOTH are good. Shula's and Narcoossee's are however, not at ALL in the same class food wise.
BOTH accept TIW. Only Narcoossee's accepts DDP. And here is where the difference comes in....

Shula's has no economic "menu clips". Best STEAK, Best LOBSTER on property. Want a Surf & Turf? It's sized for a linebacker :). Be sure to go for the "Molten Lava Cake" :). Shula's is on our list, tied with the CA Grill for #1 SIG at WDW.

Narcoossee's is very good. Narcoossee's takes DDP. This has caused DDP "menu clips" - while they COULD offer great menu items? They can NOT. Once it's on the menu, current WDW policy says it's DDP eligible at 2 points. That's about $70/per dinner - NO MORE. TO THEIR CREDIT - they are finding ways around the "DDP Clip" by offering "enhancements". NOT the only Disney owned SIG doing this. Don't get me wrong, this is a FINE Restaurant, we go to it. It just struggles under the oppressive weight of DDP :(. Artist Point, the CA Grill, and other "Disney Owned" SIGS also struggle under this burden. Their Managers work VERY HARD to find a way to offer GREAT food to those actually willing to PAY for it.

Oh - side note.... Shula's is in NO WAY loud, unless there is a major convention at the Dolphin :).

Price per plate, non DDP....
Narcoossee's about $125
Shula's about $130

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

What is a menu clip?

Have not eaten at Shulas yet. Just not a big fan of Narcoossees. The food was OK, but nothing special. Given what I have read about Shulas, my vote is Shulas. We will be trying in the fall.

Just an FYI. We had a reservation for Shulas in August and it was cancelled due to some sort of month long refurb. I am not sure what they are working on but just wanted to warn you if anyone is going in August.
