Is everything on the menu available to order on the dining plan? THey have lobster, but not sure if that is available.

We had the DDP (uses 2 credits) and were able to order anything on the menu, including the whole lobster, which is priced right at $59.

The whole lobster was much better than just the lobster tail, which is offered with steak.

wow that is good news - thanks for the input - I was considering the combo, but I will go for the whole lobster now

We dined at Narcoossee's on the deluxe plan in May and I was unable to order the Artisan Cheese as my dessert. Ticked me off as if I had known I would have ordered it as my appetizer and saved it for dessert.

I still wonder if this was a mistake on the part of our server but in any case I would not count on being able to order that as a dessert.

I've been wondering for awhile...how much does lobster cost where everyone lives? I live near Boston, MA, where you can buy lobster in the grocery stores. We usually have it at home a few times every summer and so wouldn't order it at WDW. Also cuz it's so messy I like to me in my own home to really get down and dirty! I do realize it is not an everyday-buy-it-anytime thing in other parts of the country so that's why I'm kinda wondering what is the big draw to getting it at WDW?

I guess the big draw is because it is not an everyday thing in many areas and Narcoossee's may be the only restaurant that offers it.

As I said, we ordered the tail and the whole lobster, and the whole is definitely much better. I think the tails are frozen.

As far as it being messy to eat, it was not at all, the shell comes cracked to your table. I was just asking the waiter about the ease of getting it out and he gladly offered to get it out and it just popped right out. I could have easily done it myself though.

I would recommend the toasted almost cheesecake for dessert. It was heaven. Of course we were so full since we had also got an appetizer that we took the desserts in a take out box.

I was on the regular DP when I did it in December 2008. I had to think long and hard about giving up two credits. I did it and I'm going back again when I can do it again.

Time your meal when Wishes will be shown. You have two choices here. Get a table where you will have a view of the show while eating. Another way is to be done with your meal and go to the boat dock and watch it from there. It was such a nice ending to the day for us.

With regard to the whole lobster, they use a band saw to cut everything open for you. It's not messy at all and so easy. A child wouldn't have a problem. We had to ask for the legs to be cut open, but they did it for us. The waitress apologized that it hadn't been done for us to begin with for the meal. It was the nicest lobster meal I ever had.

If you are on the coast I can understand not getting the lobster at Disney. Also, I know the price has come down; so, it does rub me the wrong way that it still costs the same at Disney. The ambiance, etc. at Narcoosee's is too nice to pass up; so, it's on my list from now on. I would do this place OOP even, but I wouldn't order the lobster or dessert if I did that way.

Love it. We live in Massachusetts but it is still a great meal at Disney. The fact that it's opened for you makes it totally worth it. No mess and really good!

so hard to find lobster @ WDW, thanks for the info re pre-cracked/cut lobster here:thumbsup2

in the midwest, lobster is pretty much a rare event. :)

i am more of a crab legs girl, but I may have to try this if they do most of the work for me. :)
