I just booked Narcoosee's for our October trip. We're foodies - love V&A, Jiko, etc. Will we be happy? And can you watch Wishes from there or at the GF? We have a 7:10 ADR, so should be OK for timing if we can.

Thanks!

My family just ate there in May. We LOVED it. Oldest DD had the mussel appetizer and I had the cheese plate. Both were great! We ordered the whole lobster and the lobster tail/steak. We really enjoyed both dinners. We were seated in the upper tier of the resturant and just walked outside for a better view of Wishes. The music was piped in and we also had a front row seat for the Electric Light parade. I really enjoyed this resturant and will return again!

I think Narcoosees is the worst of the signatures (have dined at all of them many times). In fact, the only thing that makes Narcoosees a signature is the price of the entrees. If you are going to compare it to V&A, you will be seriously disappointed. While I would rank Jiko about a 6 out of 10, I'd only give Narcoosees a 2 or a 3.

You can watch Wishes from there. People usually stand on the dock in front of the windows so it's rare that you can actually watch from your table but there is room on the docks.

We love Narcoossees have eaten there a few times. We always get the surf and turf. Watching Wishes is really nice too. I think the last time we also walked down to the dock. You can also see fine from porch. Have a great time!

Love Narcoosees. We've never seen the parade from there, but we have been on the boat back to MK and had to stay on the water while the water parade went by- that was great!

My family had dinner at Narcoossee's on our trip in December and it was really good (our favorite meal of the trip). The food was all prepared really well, the wait staff was very nice, and it did have a wonderful view of Wishes and the Electrical Water parade.

Here is a picture of the fireworks from inside Narcoossee's. Note that we were there during the really cold December night, so no one was on the veranda.

I've never been to V&A, but I wouldn't go to Narcoossee's expecting that it is on the same level of V&A. Go with an open mind and hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as we did.

We adore Narcoossee's. In fact, my DH & I had our wedding night dinner there. I have always thought the food was excellent & the service was as well.

We've enjoyed Narcoossee's. Its a nice relaxed atmosphere if that appeals to you. However, I'd give the edge to Citrico's based on your comments about what else you liked.

Agree w/Pakey.

Not that it's a bad restaurant--it just isn't that good.
It's main feature is the location.

I don't think you can put any other property restaurant in the same category as V&A. That being said, DH and I have eaten at both and we actually love Narcoossee's. We usually get the Surf & Turf with a nice bottle of wine and relax. I recommend giving it a try so you can decide for yourself.

Thanks, everyone. I've actually changed from Narcoosees to Citricos, based on some other comments in other threads, as well as this one. My DH liked its menu better.

Very good decision. Citricos is definitely more of a foodie restaurant.

As you can tell from these posts, Narcoossee's has become inconsistent over the past few years. We have had nice meals there, but I agree that Citricos is better. You will definitely be happy with your switch. In addition to better consistency and more interesting food it has a much better service level.

There was a time where Narcoossee's was top-notch. I hope they rediscover their way.

Oh my gosh-b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l!!!!!

To OP-I recently asked about Narcoossee's vs. Flying Fish and got much of the same answer. I switched out the Narcoossee's ressie for Flying Fish.

We had our 25th wedding anniversary dinner here last November and LOVED everything about this restaurant. The food was delicious, our server was wonderful and we had a wonderful spot to view the fireworks during dinner. I would definitely dine here again without any hesitation.

We were disappointed in Narcoosee's. We were there the end of May for 9 days and this was the worst service we received at all of our TS meals. Our waitress was nice, but she seemed to keep forgetting about us. DH ordered the snapper and I had a salad that was on the appetizer menu as my meal. The dressing on my salad was so hot and spicy it was almost inedible. DH's snapper was just okay at best. DH also ordered the almond crusted cheesecake. It gets a lot of love here on the boards, but we thought it was overhyped.

The positive is the location is just beautiful and we also enjoyed getting to see Wishes from the deck of the restaurant. Glad we tried it but probably won't be going back anytime soon.
