Narcoosees - Yard of Beer

Do they still have they Yard of Beer at Narcoosees? My husband and I had it on our honeymoon (in 1992) and LOVED it! I'd love to have one again!

I've never heard of a yard of beer being available at Narcoosee's, which is a signature restaurant at the Grand Floridian.

I have heard and seen and partaken of a half-yard of beer at the Rose & Crown Pub over at Epcot.

Yes it is! I love the Boddingtons ... I could drink it until I fall into a shrubbery on the way back to the Beach Club.

1) The yard-of-beer at Rose & Crown has been discontinued.
2) They claim too many drunks.
3) I do not know if the same is true at Narcoossee's.

The yards of beer are no longer available at Narcoossee's either although they were from the year Narcoossee's opened until just a couple years ago.

You could also order by the half yard which is the way I tried it once.

Narcoossee's is no longer open for lunch either, Carlyzmom. 'Tis a shame.

Oh Rusty what stupidly depressing news.

As if people can only get drunk drinking a yard at R&C ... Epcot is a never-ending whirlwind of alcoholic possibility.

And I'm sure there were drunk people at Narcoosee's, too, regardless of the size of their drinks.

Well, I do remember drinking a yard - and then swimming in the beach at the Grand Floridian - in our CLOTHES!! People were really staring at us on the monorail

Hmmm, maybe things like that are why it's no longer offered.

Seriously, I hated drinking my half yard. My husband and the server were both coaching me on how to drink the "bulb" part of the contents. I was so scared I'd end up with beer all over me. Once was enough for me! But it was cool to watch those who are more coordinated than me enjoy them.
