Narcoosee's or Artist Point

Which one would you recommend? We are a party of 4 adults and I've never tried either place and want to try something new. Any tips advice or recommendations appreciated.

Narcoossee's has many staunch supporters, but for me it has always been underwhelming. Is it good? Yes. Is it spectacular? No. Service has been spotty, good or bad on various nights, and the food while certainly satisfying is not what I would deem highly creative or interesting. And, naturally, given the type of things they serve (lobster, for example) it is quite expensive. So overall, I have been less than thrilled with my experiences there. Not unhappy, but not thrilled.

Artist Point, on the other hand, is one of my and several of my travelmates' perennial favorites. I find their fare much more appealing from a point of nuance and detail. I have never, in two dozen or so visits, had anything but good (and often stellar) service. I also like the decor and find the resort (WL) a lovely and peaceful place to spend an evening.

Artist Point is better in my opinion. The mushroom bisque is amazing and the salmon too. The service at Artist point was beyond our expectations. Now I am hungry!

Thanks for the review. I guess I should have also said that we are on the dining plan so price is no issue, and that we are going during christmas and around 5pm, so wishes at narcoosee's would also not be a selling point

I've been to many restaurants at Disney but have never been to the WL.

I'm staying in the Contemporary. How would I get to WL without driving? I think you can take the monorail to magic kingdom and then take a ferry straight to WL, is that correct? How long does that take?

The last time we stayed at the WL, we took a boat directly from the Lodge to the Contemporary. It really did not take all that long.

Artist Point is fantastic. Stellar service, great food, freat atmosphere. I am not the biggest fan of Narcoosee's. I just don't think the seafood is super great there. But I am a seafood snob. It is probably my least favorite signature at WDW where Artist Point is possible my favorite (Jiko and Calif Grill are super close though)

yep - you can take the boat straight to WL from the COntemporary. We did it many times last year when we stayed at the WL to get to the monorail, etc.

We haven't eaten at Narcoossee's so I can't comment on that, but we loved Artist Point. The atmosphere was nice, the service was excellent, and the filet and salmon were amazing .

The quickest way, IMO, is to take the boat from the CR to the WL .

I've stayed at the Contemporary before but I never noticed the boat that runs from it to the WL. I presume it's somewhere behind the building on the bay lake side? Thanks, this will make things much easier.
