I used to love this place, always had a good meal and service, but I am seeing bad reports on it at restaurant sites and TripAdvisor.

What are people's experiences? Has Naples really gone downhill?

I was there just last month. Food was great, service was fine. Not spectacular, but totally fine :)

My family and I ate there earlier this summer with fellow Disneyland correspondent, Tom Bell (ImTooExcitedToSleep). I wrote about our experience as part of my DIS blog, Culinary Quest. Here's the link if you are interested in reading about our dinner at Naples.

Yummmmmy....I went to Naples 3 years ago for the first time with my mom and sister and the food was amazing. I went again a few weeks ago with my boyfriend and his family (his uncle is actually from Naples) and we LOVED the food! It was a bit chilly at night and one of the servers kindly turned the heaters on for us, our server was super sweet and there was also a guy coming around to do balloon animals for the kids! It was still as good as I remembered 3 years ago..... but everyone has harsher opinions when it comes to restaurants! As an italian...I approve :)

We were in DLR last week and ate there twice. I don't care much for most of the resturants in downtown area, but I think Naples is among the best. Once we ate outside with the heater right next to us so it was fine. Everyone enjoyed their meal very much. The ceasar salad was just good, nothing to write home about, but fine. Service was great. We ate there again a couple of days later and ordered one of the pizzas. I thought the pizza was very good, the others thought it was good just not as good as I thought. That night there was a problem in the kitchen and dinner took a very long time, but it gave us more time to spend with our teenagers so we didn't mind. Our server was very sorry about the delay and was doing the best he could. Overall I would recommend it, we were all pleased by the experience and will definately go back the next time we return.

My family and I went to Naples last April and sadly, the food was not very well done. The pizza was good, but the three pasta dishes we ordered all had problems. My pasta was undercooked (not al dente, but some pieces were still hard), the pesto had enough olive oil to to leave a quarter in layer of olive oil in the bottom of the plate, and the other pasta dish had over cooked (mushy) pasta. Maybe it depends on the night or how crowded the resturant is (it was pretty full and the staff seemed a little harried).

We usually do take-out from here at least once every trip. No complaints, but it's been a couple of years.

We go here about once a year and it was always great. Our meal usually consists of a salad and a pizza. It's definitely a bit pricey and the portions are massive.

Last time we went, December of 2009, the pizza was a bit sloppy and a little cold. I don't know if I'd consider this "downhill" or just a bad day, but we haven't given up on it and we plan to go again just to be sure.

We visited only a week ago - the restaurant was really busy and we waited about 30 minutes for a table (we were allocated an outside table - there is outside and in but it was a fairly warm evening) - seemed a bit disorganised as there were quite a few waiting - only a very small waiting area so most were waiting outside.

I had a starter of anti pasto with olives, cold meats etc - it said 'small' but was huge! DH had a chowder (I think) soup and DD had mozzarella sticks with a dipping sauce and we all had individual pizzas - these are pretty large too! We had good service and used a Patina voucher off their website for $30 - I remember that our check came to just over $60 excluding gratuity - so pretty good especially as we also had Italian beers (and soda) on top.

Aww man I love the food at Naples. It’s the best! The pizza is un-be-lievable!!! :worship::love:
