named after disney?

Has anyone ever named their children after a Disney character?

I was named after Wendy from Peter Pan. I didn't do that to my kids though..they have non-disney names. How about you?

You bet it counts. Our kids have four legs and fur and we love it that way.
I didn't, however, name any after any Disney characters. Not yet anyway.

Kind of. We have an Olivia. We didn't do it on purpose, but found out later she had a disney name.

Two of my "four-legged" children are named after Disney characters. I have 2 cats, one is "Belle", and the other is "Thumper".

Our puppy's name is Calypso. When we got her, I wanted a Disney name and DH didn't. So I found one that I could slip by him. Didn't tell him the significance of the name until a week later.

My sister has always loved The Little Mermaid and named her daughter.....Ariel. DW and I still don't know quite what to think about that.

We named our daughter Aurora. Yes, it is Sleeping Beauty's name, and it is a beautiful name. I used to be a bit embarassed about it but I am not now.

My four legged son (dog) is Chip, cause he sort of looks like him with the light brown hair and dark down his back and a choc chip nose.

Ds' (age 2) nickname is Stitch because he can be the most wild child ever yet so darn cute and sweet too.

We're pg with our 3rd and we are pretty sure it's a girl this time. We are heavily leaning towards Isabella for her and we'd call her Belle as a nickname.

All of our pets have been Disney named. Our cats are Mira (Mira Nova - Buzz Lightyear of Star Command) and Violet (The Incredibles). Our dog is Tuck (Tuck Everlasting). We also have a rat Peach and snake Coral (both named after characters in Finding Nemo).

Our previous/passed pets include a dog named Mia (Princess Diaries), a dog named Belle (Beauty & the Beast) and a cat named Luna (Bear in the Big Blue House).

Yup, we're certified Disney freaks!

My oldest daughter is Jasmine. When I got pregnant (1st daughter) I wasn't so into Disney as I am now, and my husband is from Mexico and had no idea who "Disney" was. Jasmine was on the list of names he liked, and it was my fav. We named our 2nd daughter Isabel after a relative of his...without giving any thought to it. But of course, now her nickname is Belle. When we were at the Disney store I was calling for them "Jasmine" "belle"- and boy did I get some funny looks!!!

I have a four legged friend called Nala. I used to have another dog called Simba. My children named them both. There fav film at the time was Lion king.

I do have a few four legged babies, I've named Disney names.
Touchstone- Cat (Touchstone pictures)
Jasmine- Dog (Aladdin)
Cleo- Cat (cat in pinocchio)
Lucky-Dog (101 dalmations)
I had 7 koi fish that I names after all the Little Mermaid characters.. (Ariel, Ursula, Sebasttin, Flotsam, Jetsam, Triton, Eric)
We also had another cat that we had for a short while (found her outside, kept her until we could find a home) we couldn't decide on a name. I wanted Belle, mom wanted Shamu or Lumiere I believe, sister wanted Angela.. oh my.. poor cat ended up with the name "Kitty'

I've had many more pets, but no more with Disney names.

Not our son (Brady)....but our cat is named Lilly after Lillian Disney. I call her Lilly Belle a lot though.........Funny part is that when we got all her adoption papers after we had her a few weeks her birthday is the same as Walt Disney's.

We had to name our 2 dogs disney names. We all sat around and named every disney character we could think of until we decided on our names. Our pug is named JASMINE and our Pomeranian is named CHIP. Its funny because the names truly fit them.
