Can anyone tell me if they still sell (they did when I was a kid so I dunno if they're still hip! :lmao:) those glow light things that start glowing when you break them? I've seen them in stores for Halloween safety, so I was hoping that they were still common enough that Disneyland would carry them. One used to be able to get THINGS made out of them, like a pair of glasses, do they still do that? Please someone know what I'm talking about!!! :rotfl:

I don't know if DL sells glow sticks in the shape of things or how much they are there, but glow sticks are sold in most stores in the party section. Wal-mart has them and they're about a buck a piece (they have necklaces, bracelets, etc). I was at a party supply place today and they had a huge selection of all different kinds, so maybe your area has such a place. We're planning a trip in December and I am going to buy a bunch before we go--good cheap fun!:thumbsup2

Are they really called "glow sticks"? :rotfl2: That's awesome. Leave it to me to complicate things!

They are called glow sticks--pretty original, huh? You can go to glow-sticks.com (with the hyphen) and there's tons of different kinds of glow sticks including glasses, fake fingernails, etc. Have fun!!:goodvibes

You can get quite an assortment of glowsticks, glow bracelets & glow necklaces at the 99 Cent Store...at least, at the ones in CA and AZ...

Just bought $15 worth of glow sticks at the Dollar Store here in WA. Some packs of 5 sticks with 5 connectors...some tubes of 12 sticks, no connectors (figure we can use those later in the stay once the initial packs have run out of glowiness, re-use the connectors).

They actually had a glow ball thing...two big connectors for bottom and top...they also had a baseball cap glow thing. :)

I would definitely buy the sticks before your trip, rather than pay through the nose at Disneyland for them!

:)If you have a Michael's near you, they have tubes of 15 bracelet-length sticks for $1.00. You can make 15 bracelets, or 5 necklaces (attaching 3 braclets with the connectors). We have also bought the same type of tubes in the dollar section at Target, but I think they just carry them seasonally. We always buy a bunch of tubes for the parades, fireworks, etc. and hand out any extras we have. At .20 a necklace, this is an awesome deal!

The other week I went to Michael's, looked ALL over, and could not find them. Asked, and she said "we have them, but I don't know where". Helpful! :headache:

Not sure if it's every Michael's, but the one by me keeps the glow sticks in the dollar bins. They are located in the middle of the front aisle in my store.

Michael's is the best deal I've found on them. I was originally getting them at Dollar Tree, but it's 6 for $1. Michael's is 15 for $1. You can't even get them off ebay for that price.

Oh yes, the price was definitely better when we found them at a non-local Michael's on the 4th of July! Then they had them right up at the counter. But because they were so unhelpful I just didn't check there again... Oh well. :)
