Name something you lost or Something Stolen at Disney????

I have to say that I read this thread before we left for WDW last week and it scarred me to death, LOL...I thought we were gonna loose everything or have it stolen!

Of course, it wasn't like that at all but we did almost loose several things!

Ds left his backpack, with a dozen pins stuck to it, laying on a park bench while we were getting character autographs! It was near the entrance of MK and we started walking down mainstreet and I noticed it was not on his back! He went running back and found it still in the same place he left it....I think everyone figured it belonged to one of the kids still standing in line.

I did loose some film cartridges...but I have no idea if they were used or unused rolls??? We were in Epcot and I was just unzipping my dh's backpack to get film out as I needed it...then I noticed him walking around with the side zipper unzipped and hanging down:( I lost about 5 rolls of film, but I never asked about it in lost and found!

I haven't even read any of the posts here yet because I jumped right to the end to post because just reading your thread title caused me to cringe. It still hurts that I lost this:

When I was a young kid my parents took me to Disneyland and got me one of those Mickey Mouse Ears hats that was originally made of (I think) wool & your name was embroidered on it.
I wore it in WDW our first time there in '71/early '72 & while eating an ice cream or something out on a bench I put it down & when we were ready to go it was gone. We looked around, but obviously it was stolen. I spelled my name (Carol) the traditional spelling at that time so I don't really have anything with that spelling on it left. (I changed the spelling shortly after that)

Everytime I see those cheap plastic ear hats it makes me feel bad all over again.

Oh, well. I hope to get my granddaughter one soon. Hopefully I can get a decent one. I heard that you can get a decent one on Main Street.

I forgot a nice story to report.

On our visit in 1998, my husb's wallet fell out of his back pocket while riding one of those cycle things in the Pavilion where Body Wars is in EPCOT.

We didn't even know it until 5 days later when we went to get off the Magic (ship). Luckily I keep a spare drivers license for him (from an address change) for i.d.

Anyway, after calling from a payphone @ the airport & cancelling all credit & bank cards, his wallet arrived in the mail a few days after we returned home - TOTALLY intact - $$, cc, etc.. Seems a worker @ that building found it lying on the floor, picked it up, took it to Lost & Found & they sent it back to us.

GREAT STORY - SPECIAL GUY!!

Don't ever leave anything in a rental car- you'll never get it back. My DH left his Oakley sunglasses in the Oakley case in the rental car- we KNOW we did- I mean there's no doubt. So we left the car rental and got on the first plane and it was probably an hour flight- we called right away and they did find them, but call back tomorrow....yatta yatta security left for the day and on and on. So we call back and they said theres a whole box of sunglasses in there lost and found and "we're welcome to come and look thru them all". Oakley's -$125.00 case $25.00= $150.00 !! I guess I am just amazed that when you leave something in a rental car or hotel room that they don't just automatically send it back to your house. Doesn't that make sense. It would be great customer service too- to have that reputation.
On a happier note-Also took the twins to TWINSBURG OHIO for TWINS DAYS last weekend and left my earrings (very expensive but simple pearls) laying in the room and I called and sure enough-- THEY HAD THEM AND SENT THEM BACK!! THANKS TO DAYS INN in SOLON, OHIO.

Hey go24...sorry to hear about your glasses! we've never left anything in a rental car but I must be a cinic because I just automaticly figure that what ever you lose, you probably won't get back. I sure would hate to lose something that expensive though and it seems like they would have been a little more considerate of your feelings!
How was Twinsburg? my twins are 10 and I've always thought it would be really cool to go!
