Name one thing you love about your pet!

I have a Weimaraner, and I think they are the neatest dogs!

My one thing is that unconditional love he gives. It doesn't matter how I look or what kind of mood I'm in, he's always there to greet me with a wagging tail and that look in his eyes that says I mean the world to him!

Wow, I can't just name one thing! Well, I have three dogs.......

Millie, my toy poodle......her sensitivity to my moods. She knows when to act goofy, when to sit quietly on my lap, she even knew not to snuggle up to me after I had spinal surgery - she stayed at the foot of the bed.

Jake, my border collie/setter mix.....his happy, happy personality. That guy does not ever stop wagging his tail!

Carson, my german shepherd......her wisdom. She always places her body between dd15 and strangers. Has her hackles up, but does not act agressive - just alert. She knows who our friends are when they arrive and runs to get her ball. I can ask her "where's Alana?" and she will run and find her.

I love my furbabies!

I have a black Chow who is getting on up there in years , but she now has some teeny little gray hairs underneath her little black doggy lips. It is very cute and endearing. I love her sweet little face. Okay, I must now leave work, and go home and pet her.

Their enthusiasm - One dog, two cats. They just enjoy everything - they all help me keep things in perspective. I LOVE them SOOOOOO much. Great idea for a thread!!

Hmmmmm, I love watching them "attack" their human brothers with wagging tails and kisses when the boys come home from school or wake up in the morning.

I have to cats -

Spencer - I love that his is MINE. He is always sitting by my feet, always sleeping next to my pillow, comes to the door when I come home and will jump up on my lap when I sit down. Does not do that to DH or DS

Just ONE?? That's tough!

I guess for both my boys it would be the way they look at me. Both of them will sit next to me and just look into my eyes while I scratch their ears or their head. I tell lthem they are good boys and that I love them. I really feel like we "connect" when they give me that eye contact.

Is that silly?? Guess I just love 'em and want to feel like they know it....

Dog - she's very smart and understands English, even if you SPELL - (sometimes though, it works against me )

Cat - he's a very affectionate lap kitty and he follows me around like a puppy - I'm never alone with this cat around

I love that my cat will come up behind me when I'm sitting on the couch and rub his face in my hair and lay across my neck. It's like a kitty hug.

It's hard to name just one thing, but if I had too...I would say that the best thing about both of my dogs (my Bouvier and my Beagle) they both LOVE my children and would protect them with their lives. I know this, I have seen it.
I wasn't so suprised with my Bouvier (Titan), but my Beagle (Daisy)...I didn't know she had it in her.

Well, I have three cats.............and just the fact that they are cats is enough for me!!!!

My puppy looks at me and smiles a puppy dog-like smile every time, and he's always trying to protect me from the evil dogs he hears barking on tv. He doesn't let me out of his sight for too long. I'm not sure if that's because he wants to keep me safe, or if he thinks if I'm not in the same room as he, that I'm secretly eating something he might want a bite of.

I love it when my dog "checks" on my son every night before she goes to bed. She goes into my son's bedroom and looks up over the edge of the bed. If there is a hand or arm close enough to kiss, she will kiss him, too.

I also crack up at her flop and roll on the grass everyday, it's so funny to watch.

I can't possibly name just one thing about Mickey. He is my baby and possibly the most spoiled cat in the world! But, it's the unconditional love that all animals give that really counts. They don't care what you look like or where you work or what car you drive, they just love you. Mickey sits on top of the fridge waiting for me to come in the house. He is just my little baby and I love him to bits.

Now, my other cat, Sandy, passed away in 2000 (he's the one the EX made me dig up) he was my first cat and had him since I was 4 - he was almost 21 when he died - this cat will always have a special place in my heart that my other animals won't have. I still miss him so much and I love him still.
