Name one thing - that you enjoyed most from your last cruise..

Our last cruise was out of San Juan cruising to Port Canaveral last February. We loved sailing out of the San Juan port but one of our best highlights was the adult entertainment/trivia contests with Jo! Long time since we laughed so much. Of course not having to cook or clean was a bonus as well.

We love the whole package: the beauty of the ship and ocean, the private island, the waterslides, the hot tubs, the food, the service, the game shows and other activities, decorating our door & delivering Fish Extender gifts, the theatrical shows, the movies on deck, the chance to dress for dinner on formal night, relaxing in the stateroom without a care, generally just feeling cared for, carefree & safe the whole cruise...

The highlights of our last cruise to Mexico from San Diego was the great staff in the restaurants and Baja Vino tours with Josh in Ensenada.

Our last cruise was to Alaska. Alaska, and Alaskans were all amazing! Weather was great, scenery gorgeous, people humble, hospitable, and kind.

My first DIsney Cruise was the 7 night Eastern In July. I absolutely loved the verandah! We would order room service for breakfast and sit out there on sea days. Or order an afternoon snack on port days and sit out on it and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It was especially interesting when we were St Thomas to sit out there and watch people coming back to the ship, and as it got closer to the time you had to be back on the ship to watch people running . It was quite funny. I will never sail without one.

So many great things but this tops it;
We cruised on the Wonder to AK about 8 years ago. When we first got on the boat my two kids were moping in deck chairs, sure that this was going to be a boring time. We made a rule then and there; you couldn't say, "I don't want to". You could say, "I would rather", but there was no being bored, doing nothing. BTW - this is a GREAT rule for any family trip.

So the cruise embarks, and my son buys in immediately - he's having a blast. My daughter is on the spectrum (Aspergers) and has a hard time with any social interaction, let alone kids she does not know, so she's doing OK, but not having the time of her life. We all go to the stage show (Toy Story I think), and they have a magician come on to preview his show for the next night. My daughter lights up - we HAVE to go see the magician!

GREAT! We get to the show early because, another little quirk my daughter had at the time, we had to sit in the front row. We're in our seats and she is REALLY enthusiastic. The magician sees her when he asks for volunteers and takes her on stage.

Stop for a second and appreciate how HUGE this is! She, to this day, doesn't have a lot of friends because she is so shy around strangers - yet SHE IS STANDING ON STAGE! She kills it - absolutely steals the show, dancing around, making it hard for the magician to do the rope trick he has set up with her and another little boy - but the trick is a success, and we are ecstatic. My whole family is noticed like celebrities the rest of the cruise - all the way to the airport back in Seattle.

I really wish I could remember the magicians name because I really want him to know how life-changing that one little thing was. He did a rope trick with the two kids, and did another trick where he drew a face on a piece of paper and made the face talk. What I really loved about the cruise was there was lots to do and I could find time to spend with each of my kids, and my wife, individually - something we just don't get to do all that often. Asked to pick one thing though? The magician - hands down.

if you still have the navigator, the magicians name should be on that, if not you may be able to find it on Scotts blog.
glad your family had an amazing time

What were the dates of your sailing, specifically? You may be able to do an online search for the Personal Navigators from the sailing. Or even make a thread in here asking if anyone has the Navigators from that sailing, or sailed with you and remembers the magician's name.

Hard to pick one...our kids always ask when we're going to go on another cruise and I think the answer to why is we're away from the hustle / bustle of life and fully engaged with each other for a week. The kids go to the kids club but don't spend extensive time there as my wife and I want to hang out with them in such a relaxing setting.

Castaway Cay is more and more fun as they get older as can stay longer and is super relaxing - catching a dance by the characters without planning to, playing in the sand with us / new friends, splashing in the water, swimming out to the slide, losing track of time and have a later lunch.

We also enjoy skipping a dinner each cruise and spend it enjoying the pool / movie. Being on Disney Fantasy last time, the Aqua Duck could be repeated with no line as many times as they wanted.

The Mouse Detective is a must do for them (and we'll miss when we go on the Wonder this year) and last time both kids could work the cards without much help.

It was the Halloween cruise and will say Christmas and the Star Wars ones had more lasting theme-based memories.

My favorite moment was laying in the adult pool on the Wonder, feeling the boat sway and have the water roll back and forth around us. My kids safely in the club and the nursery and I felt for the first time in their lives (4.5 years) I was actually on vacation and not just traveling while parenting.

Our last cruise was on the Wonder to Alaska. We requested our same assistant server as we had on the previous cruise and were granted our request. He was so excited to see us and learn that we requested him. We really had a blast with all of the magic tricks he did (and my daughter taught him some) and the overall interaction with him.

Overall the Alaska cruise was amazing and my favorite cruise by far!

The Palo brunch. It was our 7th cruise and we had never done the brunch (or dinner). We are not fancy people per say, but it was fun dressing up a little more and enjoying the food! Eggs florentine that melted in my mouth and the best lasagna I may have ever had......I better stop as my mouth is watering! :rotfl2:
