I recently updated and upgraded my driver's license to an enhanced license. During this process, the DMV added my full middle name to my driver's license. My current Southwest booking just has my first and last name - no middle name or middle initial. Does anyone foresee this being a problem with TSA and/or Southwest? I realize it may be up to their discretion, but just curious if anyone has encountered an issue with this before. Thanks!

Correct, middle name is not a problem. Heck, SWA had part of my first name as my middle name for a long time. I just changed it last year due to issues with getting my luggage checked in at the resort for the flight home.

If you're worried, you can call southwest and they can update your middle name for you. I originally booked my ticket last year without my middle initial, but I got TSA Pre-Check which had my middle initial and it said to make sure the names matched exactly. So to be safe I called and they were able to help me fairly quickly.

Procedurally it is supposed to match. If ID has middle name, it should be on ticket; if ID has no middle name or initial, it should not be on ticket.
When I applied for my passport it had middle name on app. When it was sent, they had dropped it. I didn't really notice. On about my fifth cruise using it, the check in lady noted it but let me board. I am really careful now to book according to ID used--middle name for flying domestic since i use DL but no middle name or initial when cruising since I use passport.

I have not had an issue with mine and that is they way it is on my license but my RR acct does not have the middle name and I have had no problems. But SWA will change the ticket for free of charge if you feel better having them match
