name for me: trivia challenge

You think I would know this since I grew up on the stuff....heart, diamond and 4-leaf clover.

Originally there were pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, and green clovers.

But now there are purple horseshoes; red balloons; blue moons; orange and white shooting stars; yellow and orange pots of gold; pink, yellow, and blue rainbows; two-tone green leprechaun hats; pink hearts, and clovers

And very recently there are hour glasses.

There are also event based marshmallows for the Olympics and things like that.

Who knew Lucky Charms was so complicated?!?!!? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Wow, i bow to your lucky charms greatness! :worship:

We don't have them here anymore, they are classed as a desert! :rotfl:

pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, and green clovers....anything else is blasphemy. Blue Diamonds were added in 1975

Wikipedia is a wonderful thing. ::yes::

I never knew that :). I have learned a new piece of trivia tonight.

But hey, at least that means I'm neither the oldest or youngest one here :cool1:. We're going to be able to tell everyone's age based on what lucky charms they remember as being the "original" ones :rotfl:.

Actually for me it would be with the blue diamonds, i was only 2 when they were added :) anything after that is pure sillyness

I'll fess up that I remember the original 4 charms but only by a few years. My Mom would only let us have sugar cereal on occassion - we mostly ate Cheerios. Although I do remember Apple Jacks as a particular favorite of mine on my birthdays since it turned the milk pink. (What can I say - I'm a girly girl.) :cutie:

Good grief; is that all in Lucky Charms right now? Do they still have room for the little cereal bits?

They just did a new hunt for a new shape...DS5 was all excited when he got it in the box...The "mean" mom I am it is a real treat for them to get Lucky Charms. (you know got to save for the trip! :lmao: )

I can sing the current song!

Hearts stars and horseshoes
Clovers and blue moons,
Pots of gold and rainbows
And the red balloon!

I remember when the pots of gold came out and my mom gave them to me on my birthday as a special treat. :cool1: We were malt o meal people.

When I had a german exchange student in high school we took her to the grocery store and she went crazy. She picked out lucky charms, and the next morning she ate 3 bowls before we went to school. Of course she said she felt sick later, but she said they were so good she just couldnt help herself!

Its the same thing with me and fruit loops!

I go crazy over them! The only reason why i control myself is i don't want to see those colours back up again! :rotfl2:

I use to drive my sister crazy when we were younger with Lucky Charms. I would eat all of the cereal and save the marshmellows until the end, then I'd line them up around the bowl based on their shape. Never saw it as an anal tendancy until just now. :crazy2:

And the first laugh of my day goes to LilGMom!!! :rotfl2: I have never heard of anyone saving the charms until the cereal is gone only to categorize them - it is just too funny. I can just see your sister's face as she would watch you do this - maybe because I have seen my sister's face many times when I do "odd" things also.

I agree, That is my first laugh of the day. And I love to laugh in the morning, it really starts my day off right.

I used to eat all of the cereal first and save the marshmallows, but I cant say I ever catagorized them. Do you happen to be an ocd organizer?:rotfl:
