Some of you may think I am completely crazy but just before our vacation I take my daughter (4) to the salon to get her feet & nails done ( they don't do a complete manicure or pedicure) just lotion and then nail painting.

Anyhow I thought it might be fun for us to do it on the ship this time on Monday night before our formal dinner. I see nothing on the online booking for kids though... do they not do this for kids? My daughter enjoys it so much right down to picking the nail colour and my colour (as she always picks a better one for herself!).... I could just do it in are stateroom but it just going to the salon that makes her feel like a "big girl" and its girl stuff for both of us to do together.

I might just resort to going before the ship if they plan to charge me the same as an adult :scared1: pricing for her....

i think they have a spa on the newer ships for teens but i guess depends on what age
what ship

The Dream and Fantasy have a teen spa. The Fantasy will also have a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where painting fingernails may be one of the package options, though it wasn't when the Magic did the mini BBB in the med last year.

Not sure that the BBB has services for adults as well, so you may not be able to actually get the work done together as you mentioned. They definitely won't let a 4 yo into the adult spa area while you get your nails done. I see that you are going on the Wonder next, so there won't be an option for your DD to have anything done onboard.

ok I guess it will be prior to sailing...thanks...we will have to wait until the Fantasy in the BBB...

Unless its changed since May, sure you can! You have to book directly with the spa once onboard. You can't do it online. My DD(5) had a mani/pedi for about $75 on the Wonder during the May 3, 2011 Alaskan. She was in the salon area with me (not the spa area, which is different). She even got to do the whole foot bath thing. She loved it and the lady did a fantastic job with her.

Seriously?!?!? Sorry, but if I was paying that much to have salon or spa stuff done I wouldn't want to have kids there. I have two of my own, but they advertise it as an adults only area and I would be going there to get away from them. I know that people think that their kid is polite and all, but it doesn't matter IMO. Glad they don't bend the rules at Palo!

I tried to book a mani/pedi for my 9 year old on the Dream in April and they would not let me. They said she was too young.

While I adore children, I do think that a Spa is not the place for them. I want to go there and relax in peace and quiet and have adult time, so I hope that Disney do stick to no children.

I think it is fun for little girls to get a manicure or a pedicure but in your own home or at a children's party situation, not in a salon. :)

My 5 year old has had mani/pedi on the Magic and the Dream. The Dream had an ice cream spa party for girls on the first and second nights of sailing. On the Magic, she had a mani/pedi and her hair styled.

I'm not sure where it is advertised that the spa is adults only; they've been more than happy to book my daughter and she was 4 both times.

Funny... we just got our nails done today for our Disney cruise that leaves on Sunday.
Glad it wasn't $75 for each of us. I'd just get it done before the cruise, that's way too expensive.

I thought I read something about that. Do you know if adults were allowed to participate in the kids ice-cream spa party? I would love to do this with DD (with some more adult products for myself).
