Can anyone recommend a nail polish dryer? Do they work?
My dds do their nails a lot and I think this would be a good gift. I very rarely do my nails so I have no idea about this. Any idea how much it costs for a decent one?
Thanks for any suggestions. :)

I wish, that would be a great gift for me! lol I used to have one that was basically a fan and you just pushed down on it with your fingertips but it quit working years ago and I never found another one. I do use quick dry drops from Zoya that work great but I don't use them every time.

My mom just bought my DD10 one at Sears. I think it was $21, on sale for $15. I don't know how good it'll work yet though - it's her Christmas present. It was around the jewelry area or so, with all the boxed gifts they put out this time of year. We figured it has to be better than the ones they put in the kits at the toy stores that she was asking for.

Try Sally's Beauty supply. Just make sure you know if your daughter does gel or regular, because the UV dryers are way more expensive if you do not need them. I would also look at Amazon, I like shopping there because you can read all of the reviews to see if the product is crap or not.

We use a bowl of ice water! DD had a spray I don't know if they still make it.

What a great gift idea! My DDs paint nails all the time and would love this. I'm going to check out Sally's and Ulta and will report back.

I found a basic one @ Sally Beauty supply for around $40. They also had the UV dryers for gel manicures (around $60 I think) and the spray that the other PPs mentioned. I wasn't planning to spend that much on a dryer for DD, but surprisingly couldn't find anything at Walmart, Target or Bed Bath & Beyond.

For regular nail polish, there is a spray you can buy at the drug store or Walmart. It looks like a hair spray container and you can find it near the nail supplies. Super Cheap and It works like a charm. :thumbsup2

I saw one today at Walmart, $10 and it came with 6 bottles of polish. It was with the Christmas gift sets. Probably not the greatest quality but it didn't look too bad.

I go get my nails done, they either use a hair dryer that you can set to a cool setting or a small personal fan. Works great.

I saw one at Justice yesterday for about $24, but I don't know if it is any good. I considered getting it but decided that they were getting enough of my money! I use the spray on own nails and on my girls and I love it.

Thanks everyone for all the responses!

You have given me some good ideas to check out for the dryer. I am going to look at the sprays as well.

I know dd will like it! :)

This weekend I was reading a blog and someone said that they use Pam (any kind/brand) and spray it on your nails, wait a minute then wash it off and your nails are dry? Again, I haven't tried this out, but will be when I do my nails again next weekend. If anyone tries it before then report back on the results. Worth a shot as it is something we all have on hand.:confused3
