Nachi Cocum in Cozumel - Worried about Food and Drink

This is so helpful! Thank you so much! We are looking at visiting here for our western cruise this fall. I read a couple negative reviews on another site saying they were "ignored"....but honestly those reviews were in the minority! But it is nice to hear such glowing reports from DIS friends who I trust!!! :goodvibes

Oh, I read those same reviews and thought they were nonsense. My visit to Nachi last summer was so wonderful, I can't imagine enjoying another beach day as much. I'm taking DH there in May, it's his first trip to Cozumel and I picked that as his excursion since I've loved it the best.

That said, I've decided we all need to BE VERY QUIET about Nachi. The secret is starting to get out. ;)

Have you ever been on cruisecritic.com? They chat about this place all the time over there. LOL

I've been on cruise critic for years, I'm over here because this trip is DCL and there isn't much of a Disney presence over there. That's how I learned about Nachi in the first place. I've been telling people about it ever since I went there last May and realized how great it is.

Shhhh.......don't say Nachi Cocom, it's a secret. :)

Yep, not much going for DCL over there.

We are thinking about Nachi for our upcoming cruise. Can you snorkel off the beach? My kids love snorkelling and we will be bringing our own equipment. Are there fish you can see if you snorkel off the beach or should we do the excursion? Has anyone gone on the snorkeling tour?
Has anyone parasailed? Any information about any "extras" would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I just checked out the website and it looks beautiful! I'd also like to know if snorkeling with your own equipment is allowed.

Also, what is the best way to get there? Cab? How much would it cost each way (2 people)?

Sorry, we didn't do anything except make sure that our snorkel equipment worked (so we could use it in Roatan and Grand Cayman), drink, eat, sleep, swim, laugh and goof off. So I guess I can answer one question, you can snorkel off the beach. I just don't know if there is anything worth seeing.

I had my own snorkel equipment. I didn't do much except make sure that it worked because I was using it later in the cruise.

A regular size cab was $15 each way. We met another couple from our meet and greet on board and decided to go with them and split a cab. The taxi's are really easy to find in Cozumel when you get off the ship and all you do is tell them you need to go to Nachi Cocom. It's about a 10 minute ride, if memory serves.

That's the good thing about it. They only allow 100 people so as long as u make reservations, you know you'll enjoy a un-crowded beach no matter how many people know about it.;) We've never been, but are going next month on our Fantasy Cruise! (I just LOVE to say "next month on our cruise!!!":banana:)

Yeah, but I'm one of those people who tends to make last minute travel plans. I don't think I've ever booked a cruise more than four months in advance. And it's usually closer to six weeks. I don't want Nachi to fill up before I make my reservations! :scared1:

I'm a bit farther out than you are but I can't wait for the Fantasy!!!! Give us a review and some pics when you get back and have a great time!
