The cab unit is ready!
The cars and beamway will not be done for another month and the full 3' x 6' layout will not be ready for months but I thought some of you might like a look at the powered unit.
Almost all the mechanical parts were fabricated, apart from the motor, gears, and bearings. The scale appearance beamway is made from vinyl molding (Home Depot sells beamway, they just don't know it).
The 3" long model runs well but top speed is a bit high, more like maglev speeds at an easy scale 400+ mph! The Mark II will have lower gearing!
