Hi

My DD14 just came into my room and asked me if she could sign up on www.myyearbook.com. I looked at it and I don't really think I want her on that site; she already has a facebook account (which I monitor) and I think that's really enough. She said "it's a good way for me to keep in touch with my friends from out of town", though all of her friends are on her facebook account. :confused3

Am I overreacting? Anyone know anything at all about this site? I've never been there before, but when I went to the home page when she asked me, there was an awful lot of "flirt" and "match" and "blind date" stuff, kinda too much for me. :guilty:

I don't think you're overreacting at all. I have a DS (14) & my DD is older than yours & I'd feel the same as you. If you've looked at the site & feel uncomfortable with it then trust your instincts. There are a lot of strange people who troll those sites & having to monitor one is more than enough.
