Mywedding photos :)

Thank you all so so much,

Kelly, our reception was at the Shades of green which is the military resort across from the Polynesian resort.

Dee Slack the pictures were actually taken at 645 in the morning  . We decided to take pictures at polynesian before the wedding, we were then going to boardwalk for more but the light was so nice that we took all of our time with the nice lighting. My husband thought it was weird to go over there and take pictures but as long as there is no other wedding at that time they dont mind at all.

Smoof, im so sorry yours had to happen inside. I was so worried about that but it landed up perfect. I hope in the future you have a beautiful vow renewal there. Oh one more thing about SOG im not when you were there last but now they have a professional photographer like disney and they take pics and mickey and the pool and the foutain near the stairs. Its awesome but its expensive.

Tia, Shades of green is an awesome place to get married. I have a whole bunch of stuff i can email you if you can PM me your email address. You can rent the gazebo for $250 and then the ballroom if you want it is $250. We just went right over to the polynesion to take pictures. We went in the morning and everyone said hi and many people took pictures of us. I think if it was during another wedding it would be questionable but when we went at 645 in the morning no one cared. I didnt think they had many weddings either but richard the sales manager said they have three a month. But it didnt seem like it because everyone treated us like royalty. All of the staff made it like we were the ones whom they have seen all dresses up in wedding outfits in a while. we were there for 10 days and the whole time it was just amazing. We reserved our time in January but they said Aug wasnt a busy month at all so it was no problem. Are you or your husband military or is there someone military in the family. If there is going to be a few of you i would call group bookings and save 10 rooms for the longest time you would think. it can always be changed later on but at least to get it down. all you have to do is put a $200 dollar deposit down to put the date down and then it can be changed. I brought my vendors in with no problem. i did have sog do the brunch but not the cake or anything else. please email if you want that info or have any questions. sorry it was so long.

katie thanks so much, how was your cruise. how do you like the whole military wife thing :) a book that i love is chicken soup for the military wife, granted im both military and the military wife but i still love it. Are you doing a trip report? Next time you guys go down to disney you should sign dwyane (i hope i got his name right) to be the veteran of the day. We were just chosen like 5 mins before retreat at the MK i think it was the hubbys haircut and they let us both do it. but from what im reading you can sign up for it when you get down there if they have a spot.

thank all of you guys again for all your kind words i will be putting a TR together soon enough. Anyone with info on SOG weddings let me know.

Thanks for answering my ?s!!

DH is ARNG. We were both Active Army when we were married and honeymooned at SOG though.

I'll email you my addy if I can figure out how to do that. :)

I'm going to call them next week but I'm not sure how far in advance you can make reservations, arrangements. We're not going to go until Dec. 07.
I really want to go during our actual anniv. (27th) but I've heard so many bad things about the crowds the week between Ch'mas and NYE. But that would work best for school schedules.

I'm just thinking of having a very short ceremony and bringing in an outside photographer. And having a few flowers. I don't know if family would make the trip or not. If so it would only be our parents and they only allow you to reserve 3 rooms during the holidays anyway.

Hope

Our cruise was awesome, we got upgraded from a Category 9 to a 7 and got a verandah (sp?). It was amazing to spend those days with him. One month later he deployed. I am still adapting to the whole military life/wife. We closed on our house this week so moving will keep me busy for the next little while. I finally heard from him so that puts my mind a bit at ease. Thanks for the idea about the vet of the day. I will tell Dwayne about it! He is already bugging me to plan a cruise for a late one year anniversary when he returns from the sandbox next year! I don't mind at all!!! I will get around to doing a trip report soon, I have a few disposable cameras to develop. I'll let you know when I do!
