MYW Ticket ?

I am considering purchasing the MYW 10 day no expiration tickets but my son will turn 10 in 6 months..If I get him a child ticket for now,how will that work if we go for a few days next year?

As long as he has used the ticket at least once, you can upgrade his ticket at no charge to an adult ticket next year. If his ticket has not been used by him, you will have to pay for the adult upgrade.

No problem if he starts using it before he turns ten.

Then it's his for use anytime in his life with no surcharges.

(If he gets much older before finishing it off, he will need to exchange it for an adult ticket, no charge. Nowadays it has been suggested that he just use it as-is if he is just a few years older on his next trip.)

I had the same question last year for my then nine year old daughter. We had ten day tickets with no expiration. We used five days on our trip last june and the other five earlier this month on a surprise trip with my sister and her family. My daughter turned ten in september. We had no problem with her using the child card even though she is technically an adult ticket age now. The one thing I would advise for you is to keep your ticket safe when you return home. Turns out our cards had become magnetized or demagnetized or whatever it is that makes them not work so well, this wasn't a big problem though, the cm at our hotel just transferred the left over days to our new room keys. My biggest fear while we were preparing for this trip was knowing wether or not our days where actually on the cards. You can not call WDW for this info. They need the card in their hand to verify the ticket information. Have a great trip!
