MYW stars & stripes tickets vs regular MYW.

We will be staying on site this summer. Help me understand the difference between these two tickets.

Magic your way stars and stripes 10 day ticket.
A $406
C $387

This gives you 10 day tickets with park hopper and unlimited minor park admissions expiring 11 days after first use.

Regular magic your way tickets 10 day with park hopper and water parks and more option.

A $430
C $410

This gives you 10 park days allowing you to hop between parks and 10 total entries to the minor parks. Expires 14 days after first use.


So from my understanding the MYW stars and stripes expires a few days before, but gives you unlimited entries to the minor parks in those 11 days and is cheaper.

Am I missing something?

The response I received from SOG said that the MYSS&S is not unlimited minor entry and that the 10 minor park entries can only be used the same day as park entries so if you take a down day from the park...you can't do the minors either. Which makes no sense.

I have yet to reach a person, always have to leave a message and they call you back or an online form. Both were the same person giving me the same answer, but it isn't worded as she said even on the SOG website.

First question, why are you not considering the Miltary Salute tickets? For under $200 you can get a 4 day major park and 4 day minor park that doesn't expire until the end of sept. 2015. Either way, ask Steve at militarydisneytips.com. he knows everything about all of the military tickets and if he doesn't know, he know who to ask.

Yes, we are not considering the Military Salute tickets since they are for 4 park days and we need 10.

You can visit any of the parks for 10 days. So, say you visit MK on day one. Then you have 9 days left. The next day you visit BB but don't go to any of the other parks. That still counts as a day, so you have 8 days left. Make sense?

We're trying to figure out tickets, too. We need 10 day tickets, and wanted to do a split stay, so to get a package we'd need 2 sets of 5 day tickets. The cost was over $3,000! We need 4 adults and one child. I don't think we can get 2 sets of the military salute tickets equaling 8 days, so we're thinking about getting the military stars and stripes tickets. But then we need to scrap the dining plan. It's all hard to figure out.

If you are staying on site with military discount you can book the dining plan. You don't have to have passes in that case
