MYW Passes at disney Store

I called the Ottawa store and they were sold out of most types of the tickets (no base tickets, no park hoppers, I think the only ones they had left were the "everything plus the kitchen sink" ones!). She quoted me a price of #242 and change for the 7 day base ticket and said they had some coming in but didn't say that the price was going up. Fingers crossed, I will check with them again tomorrow.

I just phoned the Vaughan Store, and a 7 day ticket with Park Hopper option is $296.07 Canadian, same price that was quoted in US on the website. I'm going to take a trip up tomorrow to purchase tickets for my upcoming trip. :cheer2:

I called the Disney store this morning and asked if they'd gotten new passes in. They had but the CM told me there were people standing in line to buy them and that they only had 13 of the 7 day base tix left. YOu never saw someone move as fast as I did! They are still at the same price as the US ones: $242.82 (but in Cdn funds). :yay:

Did they charge you GST on your ticket purchase? I noticed on my receipt that they had, but when I had called them the other day, she told me there was no sales tax. Maybe she was just referring to PST?

Nope, no added taxes at all. The total for each ticket apparently includes the FL sales tax.

 Yup, I noticed that too when I was at the Disney Store and asked about the pricing. If I were Disney I wouldn't change the price because I think they MIGHT lose some patrons. Afterall, it's their economy that's suffering.

But in my world, the sky is blue always......now, back to reality.:laundy:

I also was charged GST. Can anybody confirm that it should or should not be there?

There was no tax when I purchased my tickets last week. The price includes the florida sales tax. Hope this helps.
Cathy

I'm going to call tomorrow and find out for sure. It was almost $60.00 I spent on GST alone!

Hi, new here, first post, thanks everyone for all your good advice, We bought 5 day base ticket to walt disney at the Disney Store in Hamilton, Lime Ridge Mall. They were in Canadian dollars, Adult was $236.43, Child $199.16, this was with all taxes included. Phoned around to different stores today and had found out that the 5 day base tickets were in short supply. We would have even purchased the 3 day or the 7 day if we had too, still a good deal with the difference in the dollar, hope this helps.
This was the same price at the WDW store in Calgary, they had the 5 day hopper for $289.68 too. I bought the 5 day MYW and the store clerk said they just got them in. Paid $ 472.86 - 2 adult 5 day MYW, no tax, Cdn. $.
They are upgradeable.
Welcome to the Disboards

My mom called the Disney Store for me while I was at work today, and apparently I wasn't supposed to be charged the GST. They said just bring my receipt back (no time limit) and they'll refund my money. I'll have to wait until I head out towards Toronto again, as it's an hour drive to the nearest Disney Store.

Thanks for that info.. I too was charged GST... I was foolish to believe it was required.

I just got a 7 day and a 5 day at the Limeridge Mall, they only had one 7 day and two 5 day passes when we got there. The price was the same as the US dollar price. Before we went to the store I phoned every Disney Store in Toronto and they were all sold out of the 7 day park hopper. They all said they were waiting for new stock, my guess is Disney is waiting to see what the $ does before they price the new stock.

Anyways, we got ours and are going to upgrade to an AP when we go in December.
