How does an MYW package work if you want to split your stay. Do you have to book two different packages? How does the dining work? (Suppose you go 4 nights and 4 nights; do you have to use up your 4 TS meals on the first portion of the stay before you move, etc.?)

This is just our situation. We are staying 5 nights at CSR and 5 nights at BC. We would LOVE to use the dining plan, but as I understand it, the dining is based in the # of nights you stay at a resort AND you have to have a ticket for at least one day. Soooooo, if you stay a 2 different resorts, then you'd have to buy another MYW ticket for the second resort stay to get your dining. And when you price it out, it's a crazy price for 2 separate tickets, we'll just skip the dining and but a 10 day ticket.... And yes, you have to have 2 separate reservations....Add to all this, I want to use AAA discount. I guess I just want too much. :rotfl: If this is wrong, PLEASE someone post and let me know how to get around this, thanks!!! :flower:

We're doing this next year as well. We will be at the Beach Club for five nights with a 10 days MYW Hopper plus ticket and the dining plan. We then move to the Contemporary Tower for 4 nights with a 1 day MYW base ticket and the dining plan. So we get 9 nights of dining, our 10 day tickets that we will use on the trip, and a 1 day base ticket that never expires (because you haven't used it) to save for another trip. We can then upgrade the 1 day ticket to whatever ticket we want the next time we go. So, I think it was an extra $275 for our family to have the dining plan on both portions of our trip, but we each have a 1 day ticket for our next trip.

It is two separate reservations.

Right, we were actually considering this early on in our planning, however, when priced out, it was going to cost a lot more for us to split our stay. As the others have posted, it is 2 seperate reservations, and it is just not cost effective for us, since we want the MYW package. Our decision was to just stay at one resort the entire trip. Good luck in your planning!!

Love your signature - Geaux Tigers! :cheer2:

Also, this is why we are staying at the Dolphin for our first couple of days (obviously with no dining, etc...) and then doing the package for the end of our trip. The ticket thing was getting too expensive!

Thanks!!!! LOVE those Tigers!!!! LOL

I'm guessing you are from around here?? Anyway, have a great time on your trip, when are you going??

We had a split stay, even though we didn't change resorts. The free dining package was for a maximum of 10 nights, and our trip was for 13. We had to have 2 reservations, 2 one day tickets each.

Dining for the first part expires at midnight of the checkout day, and the dining for the second part overlaps that same day. Not a problem - unless you happen to be dining at a Signature Restaurant that day & want to use credits from both reservations at the same meal - that can't be done - we were told it would be fine, but found out the hard way that it wasn't. Resort made it work out in the end, but it wasn't a very pleasant experience.
