MYW + Dining ??????

Howdy! We've booked an eight day trip in Nov/Dec at PORFQ with the MYW+dining. I'm curious how the "dining" works? I understand the concept, but how do they keep track of what you've used/not used? Is it your room key, or do they give you coupons to haul around or what?

Both the dining plan and your MYW ticket are on your room key.

Just back yesterday, it was WONDERFUL!

It is all on your room key. When you make a purchase, it will tell you on the bottom what you have left. For instance, if you purchase a Ice Cream Bar (snack), it will say at the bottom of the reciept that you have 'X' amount of snacks left. Any of the room keys can be used for the food, so if your party splits up, anyone can make a purchase.

We love the dining plan!

Start looking at participating restaurants now to see what the one credit and two credit places are, and where you might like to eat. If you decide to make ADRs, you can note that on your reservation when you make it.

You will get one table service meal, counter service meal and snack for every person on the plan for every day of your package stay. However, you can use the credits in any way you like - you don't have to do one CS and one TS every day.

We have found that using table service credits for dinner got us the most value on the plan, but character lunches are also a godo value. We use counter services for lunch, and if we have extra credits (since sometimes I share my meal with my son or he says he's not hungry because he ate a pb&j sandwich I made back at the room) we use them for breakfasts. The CS breakfasts at ASMo are good for two people so that's a plus.

If you do a search under Dining Plan on the boards you will find lots of information. You can see menus on www.allearsnet.com, and find the list of participating restaurants by going on the disney website and searching under My Way Plus DIning.
