MYW Dining Scenario--HELP

Scenario:
My aunt, her husband and two boys will be coming to WDW for 5 days and four nights. They are staying at the ASMo. They have NEVER been to WDW before. We are planning to get them MYW tickets with the park hopper and extra visits. My question is, does it seem worth it for them to get the dining option as well? They will be with us (Disney vets-PAPs and staying at SSR) part of the time but on their own some too. I imagine with the two boys they'll maybe eat at one character dinner or something and perhaps more counter service than anything else. I don't even know what options the MYW dining package offers as we have never had the desire to get a dining package. But if it makes the most sense for them, then I'd be willing to look into it.
Please, I need your expert opinions.

I would say definately sign up the first timers for the MYW Plus Dining plan. The value is incredible. For just $34.99/adult (ages 10+) per night and $9.99/child (ages 3-9) they will not only get a full service sit down restaurant meal but a counter service meal and a snack. I stayed at Pop Century in December and wish I had this option. Let's figure that they go for a character dinner at LTT...just the Adult fare with tax and tip is going to run roughly $35.00. Wait a sec, that means that they will still get a counter service meal which can be used at the Intermission Food Court at All Star Movies AND a mickey bar in the afternoon!!! Sounds like a great deal to me! And didya know that when you dine at a full service sit down restaurant every adult can order their own appetizer!! I can't say enough about this great new plan.
