Just received an e-mail, from MyTravel, with details of free dining for 2007.

Sorry, it's a copy and paste link :confused3

I wish i could get this - everyone seems to be getting it apart from me and Lizzy Lemon!! :rotfl2:

Don't feel too bad about it. This year is the second year (I think) that Disney have offered this but it's only available from mid August (when many US schools return) to the end of September - traditionally low attendance times made worse by the hurricanes of the last few years. It's obviously working and keeping Disney hotels filled during what was a quiet time.

You can get the Dining Plan at other times by paying for it with your park tickets - if you are staying on property; not the same as 'free' I know, but still a popular option :)

Excuse me if this is a daft question but ...

If they're offering free dining, wouldn't this lead to very busy restaurants?

Restaurants are normally busy but if they started offering free food they'd be packed to the rafters. I can imagine that 'free dining' offers from Disney will lead to over-crowded and very rushed service to cater for freebies.

I've never done this myself, but it does seem to have been very popular with people who had the free dining last year, so you can assume the experience was a good one or they wouldn't get so excited about it appearing again (and they do, believe me, they do ....). Don't forget you need to make reservations for the table service places, so it's up to the restaurants to only take the number of diners they can cope with.

Look on the bright side, at least we won't be fighting for restaurant seats (hopefully)

We have freedining for part of our holiday this year, it6 looks like the resturants are very busy and we have made ADR's for all the tabe service meals.

Yeah, and also I heard a few places were extending opening hours to cope with demand. Personally i'm not too worried.. A bit more noise (possibly) is a small price to pay for the huge saving.
