This review is short since we only had an entree here, but it is a great restuarant.

We missed our ressie on Sat., so I had to talk Steve into going at 11:30 on Monday. He was nervous because our town car was picking us up at 1:15 for a 3:05 flight. I knew we would have plenty of time though.

We walked in at exactly 11:30 and were seated right away. It is such a cool interior for a restuarant, I really enjoyed it. Our waiter was great and there were only a few other patrons in the restuarant, plus one huge group that was seated outside. We were seated at a table and I wished we could have been seated at one of those cool looking booths, but perhaps they save them for people with reservations or larger parties.

Our bread and drinks were served - the bread was great, maybe a sourdough, and nice and warm. I ordered the balsamic chicken and LOVED it! It had mushrooms and pearl onions in a balsamic sauce and the chicken was moist and flavorful. I really like mushrooms and onions in dishes and this was just great. It was served on top of a kind of potato pancake - it was good, a little too spicy, but good. Steve ordered the wrap of the day and he loved it. It was beef, mushroooms, onions, mashed potatos and gravy all wrapped in in a soft spinach tortilla. The portions were great and I did not think the prices were too high either.

Next time we go, I will look forward to going with the kids and having a dessert, but this time we just didn't have time. I definetely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My tips for Mythos:

Always ask about the risotto of the day. Back when our own SecondCook was in charge of this dish, they were invariably GREAT!

Ask, too, about any specials. If the chef is trying out a new dish, it will usually be at least interesting and often superior.

If you like something, praise it! Mythos pays attention to customer feedback and your "vote" can help keep favorites on the menu.

I loved that balsamic chicken too!!!! I have to agree about the booths. I had a reservation and still had a table. But our table was right by the window and the view was out of this world. Can't wait to go back and thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the review glad u got to go another day pity about desert:jester:

Missed this one too!:p Glad you got to go to Mythos still. The beef and mash in tortilla sounds tasty, so does the balsamic chicken (Spidey's favourite!). Mortifying not having time for the gooey banana though......still I expect that will be your "first" order next trip!:D
