Mythos or Enchanted Oak for Lunch

Question: could possible either mythos or Enchanted Oak be affected by the soon to be Potter section of the park?
I really want to try them. we will be there labor day week and i am hoping that construction will not start this soon and was concerned one or the other would be gone with the new section. advice wanted please on where to eat.

Not a chance, they'll start on ride construction before they close a resturaunt...resturaunt brings them money. Since you will be there the whole week, try them both.
Mythos is sit down, where Enchanted Oak is counter service. They are both very good, but in different ways. The oak is very cheap for the amount of food you get, and mythos is not.....its more fine dining.

I would probably eat at Mythos simply because the food is GREAT and if you request a seat by the window, the view of the Hulk and Marvil Superhero Island is just amazing!!

I definately prefer Mythos. It is sit down but I liked the food much better than the Enchanted Oak, which was only okay for me.

if i am rushed for time, i take enchanted oak

if i want to take my time and relax with a fine meal, i chose mythos.

mythos closes at 3 pm
enchanted oak stays open much later.

do mythos for lunch and enchanted oak for dinner.

I can't see them closing Mytho's. It's been voted the best theme park restaurant in the world for the past five years, and for good reason! On our past two trips we completely fell in love with Mytho's, it's amazing! We went there three times on our trip in 2005, and twice last year. We're planning on going twice on our upcoming trip. The food is top notch and on par with a lot of the top restaurants here in NYC (for a lot cheaper!) The decor also cant be beat, it's sent up to look like you're in the lost city of Atlantic. There are huge votive candles, gigantic faces carved into the walls, and little brass Gods holding up the banisters.

Don't miss Mytho's!

mythos is not closing. on other boards that is also stated, mythos will not be closing.

mythos closes at 3 each afternoon.
it is only open for later hours on high season time such as easter/spring break

We usually visit Universal in July and Mythos has always been open for dinner. It depends on how late the parks are open.

Mythos is NOT fine dining! The food and the atmosphere are really good. I don't really think the prices are high. I guess everyones perspective is different tho.....

I love eating at The Enchanted Oak, here's proof!

Twice I wanted to get to Mythos and have a meal, and they were closed both times, I have to make it a point to get the schedule ahead of time on our next trip.

We've done both and, although Mythos has a great atmosphere and decent food, I actually prefer Enchanted Oak for the convenience, speed and what also is pretty good food. We get our fine dining fix at Emerils...

Best idea is to visit Mythos at 11:30am when they first open. That way there's no worry about when they close.
I tell people to share a wrap of the day or cowboy burger. You get free bread to start. That way you can save money and room for desert. Otherwise you'll be stuffed. Good idea is to take left overs back to your room if staying onsite.

Yes definitely both, one lunch, the other dinner, or whatever. They are probably my 2 favorite spots there in all of IOA. There are a couple of others in JP and port o entry that yo u should eat at as well, but those are the best IMO. Not only good food, but by far the most original and coolest atmospheres.

For lunch we normally do Captain America's, the burgers there are delicious and then for dinner we eat at Mythos we really like the shrimp pasta there and their bread is really good also, but like everyone says Mythos is more like a fine dining restaurant.

Thanks for asking this question OP.

I have been to Universal several times, and have never gotten to eat at Mythos, because it was closed. Does anyone know what times Mythos will be open Oct24-28th. Or can you point me to thier daily schedule hours of operation thanks!!
