Mystic Dunes- Just back!

Just back from a 6 night stay at Mystic Dunes Resort (located directly next door to Windsor Hills). I booked through Condodirect.com and got an incredible rate. There was no timeshare tour required. Three days before arrival, a sales rep called by home and invited us to do a tour. We told her we were not interested and nobody asked again. Check-in was quick and easy. We stayed in building 26, a short walk from the main pool. The villa was very spacious with a split floor plan, which we loved! The villa was a little outdated but it was clean and we had everything we needed. The staff was more than accommodating and very friendly. I would definitely stay at Mystic Dunes again, especially if the price is right!

This is nice to hear as I have never heard of this resort. I will keep this resort in mind for our next trip if we decide to go the offsite/condo route. Thanks

Glad you enjoyed it there. Great place to stay if you like to golf...we stayed there back when it was called the Wyndham Palms Resort.

Thanks for the report. We are staying there in March. Can you tell me how much they charge for the internet? And do they have flat screen TVs?

We are there in March as well for 2 weeks, glad you seemed to like it! I am interested in the internet thing as well, and do they have outdoor spas(hot tubs)? I have to prep my hubby if not!~ Which building would you suggest?

We were there last week. Internet was (I think) $9.95 a day or $49.95 for the week. I used my Blackberry instead.

I don't think the tvs were flat screen, but I didn't watch them so can't say for sure.

We stayed in building 18 this time and it was the first time we could sit on our own balcony and watch fireworks from Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. Most of the buildings face the other way, so you have to stand outside your unit on the walkway balconies to see the fireworks.

Not sure about the hot tubs. Never made it to a pool or even mini-golf this time. We went over to Busch Gardens two days, Sea World four days (one day just for a couple of hours) and Aquatica one day.

We never made it to the pool but the main pool was crowded during the day. The weather was mid 70s- low 80s while we were there. I saw plenty of towels at the pool which is convenient. I asked some folks about the pool and they said it was nice and warm so I assume...heated! It really is a lovely resort. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Oh! I forgot to mention in my OP, one of the best features... there were luggage carts available at each building. We often stay offsite in a condo and always have to lug all of our stuff. The carts were a wonderful, convenient surprise!

We had a different experience. No luggage cart anywhere to be found in our building or the two buildings nearby. Piled all our stuff by the elevator and put it all on at once, then pulled it off on the fourth floor. A real pain. When we left, my husband searched four buildings and found no cart. My son searched six buildings and found one in the sixth, but it had a flat tire and really had to be muscled to move it.

We arrived after midnight and saw no-one else with a cart. We checked out early on Friday morning and again saw no other family using a cart.
