It's possible that no one is going to care about this, but I've been bugged for a year or more that I didn't realize, during our first trip or two, that you could take a rented stroller over to DCA. It was actually one of the reasons we chose to stay in Disneyland for those two one-day visits!

Well we've been on a cleaning-up kick, and I'm in a "figure out what I need to scrapbook our trips" kick, and I found my 2005 stroller rental receipt and info sheet.

And it says on there...

A stroller must remain in the Park in which it was rented.

I don't have the rental ticket from '06, but in Dec '07...

A stroller may go back and forth between Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure.

I found it a fascinating explanation for why I was so sure it would be a hassle to "hop".

That is too funny! It would bother me too; I hate the feeling that I KNOW something, but can't remember WHAT I know. You sound like an excellent record keeper. ;)

I'm an excellent packrat, that's what I am. :rotfl:

I mean, I'm actually sitting here trying to figure out..."should I keep this receipt from 2005 for the coke we bought, and should the fact that it's almost totally faded away have anything to do with keeping or not?"

:headache:

I just wish I had the rental ticket from our '06 trip! And that we'd rented in Sept '07, but we brought our own stroller. So I don't know when they changed...just some time between October of '05 and December of '07...will I ever sleep again? :upsidedow

I am a packrat as well - I guess that is why I recognized your pain at wondering and the joy of solving the mystery! I do hope you can get some sleep tonight. :thumbsup2 Maybe someone else will have saved their receipts and can fill in the gaps! :rolleyes1

I believe when DCA first opened and for the first couple of years, you did have to keep the strollers at each seperate park. Then, once the bag check tents went up, you could go back and forth, as there was a widened esplanade control-wise. Remember when the bag checks were in front of each park? It would be easy for someone to hang a left out of the parks and head for Harbor Blvd or DTD. Now that the bag checks form sort of a barrier to either of those potential runaway zones, it's easy to let them out of the individual parks, but still within the park limits.
