Does anyone do this? I used to a long time ago when I lived in another state. I'm having a hard time finding a legit site though. There was one offering a money back guarantee to use their site to find jobs. When I looked up the company though, I found out they are a huge scam and they commit credit fraud.

I looked into it a few years ago and did a lot of reading on this forum: http://forum.volition.com/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=3 which seems to be a good way to find out more information.

I think there was another forum but I can't find it in my bookmarks. Maybe a Google search for Mystery Shopper Forum would bring up something?

Yep, Volition. They only lists sites that you don't have to pay to join.

No one should EVER pay to be a mystery shopper.

Would you be willing to share websites that you have used. I'm leary because a lot of them want you to fill out a W-9 which includes giving out my social security number. That freaks me out. If I knew they were legit...

All of the ones on Volition should be legit. This is a job - not a way to get tax free money so W-9s and SS numbers are required.

It would do you little good to just sign up with a few companies as you need to sign up for many (dozens) to get offers for shops in you area. There are literally hundreds of legitimate companies so signing up for a few will only result in the feeling of not enough work to make it worth it.

If the companies are on Volition then they are legit. If you read the forums, you will info on the companies, and shops.

With gas prices these days, I don't see it be cost effective. Unless you are able to bundle many jobs at one time.

Good Luck.

Try Marketforce. I have been working for them for a few years now. Very reliable, direct deposit available, scheduling can be done on the internet....all in all very easy to use.

I do mystery shopping for a part time job. I have been doing it for a year and love it. MSPA is another good site for listings. I probably am signed up with 30 companies and have plenty of work. I would love to share what I have learned if you would like to email me:cool1:
