That’s totally fine. But I am not sure why you would get tested without symptoms. I am not saying that non-symptomatic can’t spread it OR that not testing makes it disappear. I am saying that the recommendations are to get tested if you are having symptoms. Everyone can do what they feel they need to do, but the way the recommendations are going it is obvious that a large majority of people aren’t going to get tested unless they are feeling symptoms. That’s what they are being told to do.
At my daughter’s high school, kids don’t need to get tested even if one of their family members tested positive. They only need to get tested if they are experiencing symptoms themselves. That, to me, is crazy because of the fact that a child has a higher likelihood of getting COVID if they are living in the same house as someone who has it. But that’s the way things are trending. That, IMO, is why things are spreading so quickly right now. There are so many asymptomatic people people with COVID out there. Even in WDW. Sooo…if I don’t have symptoms I am not getting tested. Even if I was around someone who tested positive. Why would I get tested before I have symptoms? Especially knowing COVID is all around us. I would have to get tested three times a week if I did it every time I was around someone who tested positive.
And contrary to your statement, I am not giving advice. I’m just saying the way I am going to approach things, which is the same way a very large number of people are approaching things given the current circumstances. However, I do have actual advice: get vaccinated and boosted, and wear a mask where appropriate and/or where required. Then live your life.
