Anyone have any feedback on a hotel called the Compass Cove Resort in Myrtle Beach? I am going with my duaghter in the summer and we are looking for a nice/fun place to stay. thanks!

It's a great place to go with any age of kids! We've stayed at that resort twice and would go back again in a heartbeat. The water...pools, lazy rivers, hot tubs and "water fun" activities there are great. It's in a really good location too!
We really liked our room, because it had two separate areas. There's a "kitchenette" that we filled with our food for a week and we didn't eat out much, we like the oceanfront rooms.
This is a very clean hotel, great location, the staff was friendly and there is a TON of things to do with out even leaving the hotel!
Be sure to spend a day at the boardwalk area in Myrtle Beach...it has the COOLEST hard rock restaurant in the USA. It's inside of a pyramid. It's fun to eat in there too, it's pretty neat if you don't mind a little music with your meal. There's also great shopping in the boardwalk.
There's a mideval times in Myrtle beach that's fun...but we went to the Dolly one "dixie stampede" and it was a great amount of fun. I don't know how old your daughter is, but kids, teens, pre-teens and adults all would have fun (if you like that type of thing) it's got great food and an awesome show.

Yes, we stayed there two years ago. It is great for kids because to the pool facilities with lazy rivers (one indoors if it's winter). The facilities were comfortable and nice. Ours overlooked the ocean. The beach is great and it is in close proximity of the center of town and, if Golf is planned, it is central to that as well.

I don't regret having stayed there at all.

I have stayed there. We really liked it due to the number of h20 options available. Room was fine as well, no problems. Would stay there again.:thumbsup2

Ok, I am going against the grain here, We stayed there last year and it was horrible. Dirty, parking was awful, you had to fight for a place, most times we had to park across the street. Lazy river, yeah right, it was an itty bitty, little water way, maybe 3 feet across and 3 feet deep, and yes they say they have many pools but they are the size of a kiddy pool. My hubby was gong down the stair on night, because you could collect social security befor the elevator gets there< any way theses girls were in the elevator and they said oh thank God, can we follow you down to our car. There were some creepy poeple hanging out there, Also our room was dirty.. I wouldn't adivse anyone to stay there. NO WAY

Compass Cove is alright. Not our favorite. We thought the rooms were way too small. If it is just you and DD then that may not be a problem. Indoor pool was not very good.(We go to MB at Thanksgiving every year and with
DD2 and DD5 we have to have lots of pool activities!)

We much prefer The Breakers --fantastic H2O stuff (Ocean Blvd and 21st Ave North--the road that takes you to the Broadway that has been recommended) and Sea Watch which is a little further North in North Myrtle Beach.
We always get good hotel/condo deals at www.vrbo.com
