Mypoints Redemption Received

Wow!

I redeemed on 3/10 for a Barnes & Noble gift certificate and received it in snail mail on 3/17.

How long did it take from the time you cashed out at Milesource until you got your GiveAnything e-mail?

This was for Mypoints.

However, I did cash out in January at Milesource for a $25 giveanything.com gift certificate and have not gotten anything (I've been e-mailing milesource weekly without success).

Sorry about that! I read the title too quickly and thought this was a Milesource redemption. Sorry about that!

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but when you redeemed, did you bookmark the page at the end? If so, you can check the status of your redemption by checking the bookmarked page. Once it shows "shipped" it should be on its way to you (or at least no more than a couple of weeks away).

If you did not bookmark the page, as long as the points are showing up as deducted then the redemption did go through and there is no way for you to tell if the gift certificates have been shipped. You can also look in your account statement to see if the points were deducted.

I had a feeling my post sounded too confusing!

This is what I copied from my Account Statement:

Current Status

Points available for spending: 1115
Points earned but not yet applied to account:* 0
Points reserved for pending redemptions:** 0
Current Point balance - Total: 9115
Points scheduled to become available within
the next 10 days: 0
Points to expire on 12/31/2003: 0
Grand Totals:

Points earned to date: 9115
Points spent to date: 0

"Points reserved for pending redemption" says 0, but I did bookmark that page you mentioned and it said "Points Pending Processing."

So on the Mypoints site, shouldn't the "Points Reserved for pending redemption" say 8000 points, since that's how many I cashed in?

I just don't want my points to be lost in limbo somewhere!

Your question wasn't confusing - sometimes it's just hard to explain things without being able to show you what I mean!
If your bookmarked page shows pending processing, that's what I would go by.

"Points reserved for pending redemption" is where they put the points until Mypoints determines that your points are valid (not sure how they decide that but it only takes a couple of days usually).

If you go into your weekly account statement for the week that the points were deducted, your redeemed points should show up in the "debit" column and the description should show what you redeemed for.
