I think you will actually have to download the software so that you can actually set up the account. Just be sure to keep any emails aol may send you and then when you call to cancel be sure to write down your confirmation number. Most of us have had to email mypoints to actually get the points, but they have eventually appeared. Mypoints will ask you for "proof" that you signed up. The problem is that of course aol doesn't ask you for an email address b/c they give you one. That's why you need to be sure and keep emails or cancellation numbers to prove that you actually signed up. I got my points about 55 days after I actually registered w/aol. Just be sure and call to cancel w/in that 45 day window or they will automatically start charging you.
