I just got off the phone with Sharlene (sp?) from the IT line (407-939-7849). I had to call b/c my RFID 8 day PH passes from UCT weren't showing up under My Reservations on MDX, and it was not allowing me to make FP+ choices.

She was super helpful and friendly, and seemed to know what I was talking about immediately. She was able to get into my account and see that our tix were showing up only under Magic Bands and Cards, but not under My Reservations. My son's ticket, on the other hand, showed up under My Reservations and was set up correctly (his was the old paper style). It was letting me make FP+ for him, but no one else.

She said they upgraded the linking system recently and it had some problems. She said that in order to make FP+ reservations your tix have to show up under my reservations on MDX. In her words mine were "half linked" since I saw them under Magic Bands and Cards, but not My Reservations. She said she would escalate it and it would be fixed, and she gave me the choice of having her call me or email me when it was done. She said they were doing it in order of check in dates, so she didn't know how long it would be but that it would be fixed. She never asked or said anything about the tix being from UCT.

She also said that I could go ahead and make FP+ reservations for my son, and when my DH and my tix are linked either I or she could then copy all of his FP+ to us. She said as they are still testing there is a lot of availability time-wise, and there would not be a problem with the times I chose for him not being still available for us. She also said if there happened to be a problem with getting the same times (if I'm unlucky and pick a super popular time for the attraction, I guess) that she could over-ride that and get us the same times.

I asked her about when it would fully roll out, and she said that she didn't know but that they had opened it to all resort guests at all resorts. I'm not sure if she meant now, or October when we go.

So I'm hopeful this will all work, and I'm excited that I can go ahead and make FP+ now before my problem is solved. We leave one month from yesterday!

Oddly enough, I just got an email invitation to join the test, and a written invitation came by Fed Ex yesterday! Weird, as they are opening it to everyone, so I don't see the need to do that unless they are fed-exing an invitation to everyone at every resort. Also silly that the invitation came after we got our customized Magic Bands. i guess if I hadn't been aware it would have mattered, and maybe most people aren't.
 
Do you have different log ons for DVC and MDE

Yes I did, but she told me she was switching them all to the same log-in and password- which is now required. But now it's not working on dvcmember site - neither one works - nor any combination of the 2 member names/passwords. I will have to call member services IT and see what to do because I need some info off that site.
She also sent me an email with any old log ins, email addresses, etc that I've had over the many many years of trip planning - I think she came up with 8:eek: I had to go on and delete them.
I have always had a love/hate affair with Disney IT capabilities;) - the thought of being tied to them on a daily basis while actually ON my vacation makes me crazy!:crazy2: and a bit frightened :scared:lol
 
What are the length of tickets you have linked? Are they only 4-day tickets? The limit is based on the tickets, not the reservation.

Thank you!! We have two day tickets, because the plan was to upgrade one to an AP. Might have to rethink that!
 
I hate to point this out, but what part of "this is a test" is ambiguous? If it's not working for you at this stage, just don't use it (as is the case for lots of other guests who are not staying at participating resorts).

But I agree that they should have pre-tested rather more combinations and options than they seem to have done before letting this loose on live guests.

Well I guess the test ain't going so good LOL ... I hear all that test stuff but you log a issue 2 weeks ago and hear nothing.. ?? Not good cs no matte how you look at it.
So your suggestion is just use the MB with no FP+ ? So again the test is a failure you gotta know this is this close to not being a test anymore ....

Same exact problem as me they have mine logged for 2 weeks with no correction yet ... At least you can do your sons and copy over..

Sadly, I'm going on 5 weeks.

Oh it's a test so no big deal LOL sure is if your trying to get all your stuff done guess I'm being selfish ... LOL but really how does it take that long to fix an issue like this? How bad is there IT dept. test or not
 
I have called 3 times and sent one email. I have been very nice and they have continue to be apologetic but it maybe time to request it be done in a more firmer way.

Just ridicules... I called 3x and one email also.. How many days before your trip?
 
On the October thread people are saying they got their tickets to link using their smart phone and scanning through the mobile ap.

I believe that works for the paper tickets. The hard plastic tickets are the ones causing problems. There's nothing to scan on them, so I don't see how that will work. Please correct me if I'm wrong. (I would love for there to be a fix for this problem!)

Oh boy. That doesn't sound promising. Maybe we should all chip in & hire our own IT consultant. LOL

I find it hard to believe there isn't a common issue here and they haven't fixed it yet.. Lets hope they just ain't giving us a line about getting to it. Or just might wind up making our FP+ reservations when I get there uggg.. Especially now where is seems just about every resort is getting MB...

Just curious, has anyone spoken with the folks at Undercover Tourist about this? It's not their fault that MDE isn't working, but I wonder if they would be willing to issue a refund or exchange tickets.

Yes that's my problem as well. There's nothing to scan, so I had to manually input the card number. Mine were the plastic cards as well.
